The 2 stars are for the soup and dim sum that were okay. The main courses were not for human consumption and actually made me physically ill. A disgrace. During COVID takeaway means you’ll be eating at home, but in normal times this food would be sent back immediately!
Great customer service, reasonable price and good food! Love their wonton soup. Will definitely come back to try more on their menu. Also, I love it when the staff member gave fortune cookies to my son who was about to cry. Thank you!!
Extremely rude. There was an issue with my bill and they refused to help in any sort of way. They advertise as one price but then charge a different price. Plus when ordering Uber they advertise they're noodles as cooked soft noodles and when I got them they were rock hard and not cooked. Food was disgusting and will not be ordering again.
Dim Sum King on Dundas has been my favourite Dim Sum restaurant for years. The consistency at the Queen isn’t the same and charging 8$ for this soup is ridiculous.
I have ordered several times for this restaurant and never had any problems until today.Made an order of $100 of food through Skip the dishes and they forgot one of the main items of my order after waiting an hour and a half to feed my hungry family. If you can’t get the order right then you should not be in business, horrible service. When I phoned the restaurant they wanted me to drive down there to pick up the items that they forgot. Why should I then pay skip the dishes if I was going to drive and pick up the item then why Would I pay skip the dishes to deliver it.It is the restaurants fault that they didn’t pack the item with my order now two hours later I am still waiting there for the restaurant to deliver my item which is a main dish of the meal. Not sure if I’ll ever order from this restaurant againThere are plenty of other Chinese restaurants who probably would get the order correct especially if I spend $100 on food there.
A rainy pre Halloween Saturday, I invited my friend to a belated B day lunch. I was sceptical but open to choices I left to my friend. The Har Gow 2, I am not a fan. The wrap on the hard to find shrimp was too chewy for my taste. The Sui Mai ( pork Shrimp) in my humble opinion was stellar! I loved it. The steamy sticky rice with meat ( lotus leaf ) was tasty. The honey, garlic beef short rib- DELICIOUS. The Sesame Lotus Paste Ball, not to my liking…it was not my Birthday! Lol. The staff was attentive in service and COVID protocols. I will return, especially for the Sui Mai.
Omg stay away from this place. Big red flag when my GF and I went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was dead. Nearly everything tasted bland or sickening like it was about to go bad. The curry cuttlefish (the menu said octopus) was sour and the curry tasted diluted with a hint of some kind of dish soap. The pork and chicken Sui Mai tasted soo off, like it was about to spoil. The only 2 decent dishes were the pan fried shrimp and chives dumplings and the crab ball. The rice rolls were very doughy and undercooked. We couldn't finish the meal afraid that we might get sick from the old/spoiled dishes. What a waste of money, we had to go elsewhere to eat a proper meal and leave most of our dishes unfinished.
Finally a decent dim sum place in our neighbourhood that we can walk to. Our selections were fresh and tasty. Will go again.
The food’s delicious but the wait time is too long. I couldn’t give them a five star rating because of that. When i heard that everything is made to order i was shocked because I’ve never been to a dumpling place that did that. No wonder it took forever for dumplings to come to the table from the pass. I hope they change that ave the size of their dumplings. Dumplings are supposed to be intricate morsels of deliciousness not something that’s as big as a golf ball and falls apart because of its size and filling.
Noodles were raw and crunchy still because they weren't boiled properly. The sauces in the curries were all sitting in the bottom and it turned out there wasn't en ought for all the skien. items described as spicy in menu were actually sickeningly sweet when they arrived. I would not recommend. Had to recook some of the stuff and threw out the other stuff because it wasn't edible (noodles) or good (curries).
