We went to this place with a few friends because it was recommended to us. Although the restaurant seemed to be quiet big, the tables were placed in a way that you didn‘t feel cramped. The decoration is quiet charming, with chinese dragons hanging from the cheiling. I didn’t really like the food, but I think that’s more my then the restaurant‘s fault. But everything I liked, was actually pretty good. We also got constant refills of green tea without having to pay for it. The only thing that really did bother me, was that every few minutes a waiter would come to our table and persistently tried to offer us different dishes. I‘m a person who likes to take her time while eating, preferably in a calm environment. The constant offer of different food even before we could decide what to order was really overwhelming and kinda stressful for me. I know that it’s only meant to please the guests, but it was kinda hard to think about what to order and talk with each other when someone constantly tried to talk us into ordering different dishes. So all in all, it was definitely an experience. Some of my friends really enjoyed the food, the staff were kind (although kinda persistend) and the atmosphere was also nice. I probably would not go a second time, but that’s more on me than on the actual quality of the restaurant.

Looked for the highest rated dim sum place in Chinatown and we found it! It lived up to our expectations. The selection was amazing. The price was so affordable and if i had a bigger belly, I would have been able to try everything on the menu. The dim sum was juicy and tasty, the deep fried ones were not soaked in oil. They were lightly battered and fluffy. It was truly an enjoyable experience. Service was very quick and the turn over of new orders was pretty seamless. Love this place and would try more of the same dim sum plus new ones too.

Somehow this was one of the more "affordable" dim sum outlets in downtown but do note that the prices in 3 sizes does not apply to every item has a small or medium, some are just medium or just large so be aware when you order.I gave them a 3 stars rating because the food quality is somehow at the borderline of average for the price. The fried yam pastry somehow tasted a little sour, which probably meant that the yam was not fresh or started spoiling. The egg tart was not as flaky and nice as other affordable bakeries in the area. Everything was pretty ordinary, so I don't really have much good comments to make here. They are pretty prompt with the tea pot water top up, but the leaves provided were rather bland after 2 rounds of drinking.Overall the fried items were really oily, food is average and don't expect fine dining kind of service, this is a dim sum outlet where servers will push carts of food around and you can order directly, sometimes they might appear pushy but that's normal for a typical dim sum outlet so don't be surprised (or shocked or miffed) if it is your first time in this kind of old school dim sum outlet.

First time going here and had a great experience. We came here on a cold night for dinner so there weren't much people around which we liked. The servers were nice and attentive, the food came quickly too and it was delicious! Highly recommend!

Authentic hong kong dim sum on a pushcart. Food was absolutely delicious and portion was big as well! Food was a little pricey but it was definitely worth it! Highly recommended for every dim sum lover to visit

Easy go-to place for dim sum! The restaurant is usually very spaced out so it makes you feel more reassured with the pandemic.Food usually comes out pretty fast. The service staff usually have limited English but they get the job done well.Sometimes there are certain menu items that are out of stock and it would be nice if we could be told before hand.

Loved this place! Great dim sum & other authentic cuisine

Super reasonably priced dim sum and wonderful Peking duck that doesn't need to be pre-ordered which means when I am craving it, I can just have it. Just look at this spread. Dim sum for days.

My family's go-to spot for dim sum and dinner! It also feels like they've upped their dim sum game recently, the quality is even better than before. Also they have people pushing around the carts depending on when you go. The food comes out hot and delicious, one of the best in Chinatown for sure. Also the restaurant is big enough so there is good spacing between tables and dividers to follow covid restrictions.

I've been going to Dim Sum King since I moved to Toronto about 14 years ago and it's my go-to dim sum place in Chinatown. There's nothing like cart after cart of delicious dim sum being wheeled around, but you should know that they have a really good dinner menu as well. We celebrated a friend's birthday there a couple weeks ago that included lobster, steamed fish, mixed veggies, soup (aka: "bone broth" ?), and really delicious and tender ribs, among other things. Delicious! Also, the service was excellent. Super friendly staff. Go support them!
