Incredible kebab experience. I had a bunch of kebabs around, but never found something with a great balance of meat flavor and spice. The chicken kebab is very juicy. The special side order of Torsh kebab has a very exquisite sauce made with pomegranate.Owner provides an excellent service. I would definitely come back again with Iranian friends.
Great Persian spot in the downtown core.A solid Persian restaurant that scores good points overall in terms of location, service, food, and ambience. Would only recommend that they either tone it down with the amount of rice or perhaps if they provided more of the main dish. I ordered a veal with pomegranate and walnut sauce. The tartness of the pomegranate went well with the subtle walnut. Also I think I left my water bottle here!
I've walked past this restaurant so many times and never really bothered to peek inside, likely due to the unassuming façade. Boy, was I wrong! From the cite decor to the great background music to the fragrant food and great service, everything is well put together. As an appetizer we had soup (Soup-e-Jo) and the Persian platter (Persian Taster) what in heaven is that bread? So good! The hummus, if not the best, is right at the top of the list! As a main we ordered the Aubergine Stew, which comes with rice, also great. Overall, great experience and will definitely come back.
At my first time in Darvish restaurant, I had a great experience with friends and family. The food was juicy and tasty and service was perfect.Pooya was really helpful and funny. We'll definitely go back to try other dishes.Really recommend it.
The service was good and very polite. The food was not even close to the best Iranian dishes I’ve had in this city. Quality-wise, it is overpriced. But I don’ think you can find better options of Iranian restaurant in DT. Joojeh was dry and cold, koobideh was not juicy at all as it should be. The ambiance and tables were good. The rice and salad was also good.
The worst restaurant that l know. They charge you for food and delivery, but You don’t receive any food. Instead, you get insult, harsh, rude and offensive words from them. I had guests for dinner. I wanted to treat them with Persian food. Since it was the first time that I was going to try food from Darvish restaurant (and for sure this will be the last time) I called the restaurant to be sure that they would deliver the food. Their reply was “sure we have delivery; you should go to our website and order your food and we deliver it for you”. So, I ordered the food through their website and paid for the food and the delivery. However, we waited and waited, food didn’t come, instead, we received a text message that your delivery has been cancelled, please contact the restaurant. We contacted the restaurant. The person who answered the phone was very rude and offensive and started arguing with us that “we gave your food to the delivery guy; you have to wait” and hung up the phone. We waited for some time and called them again and We explained it again that we have received this text message, but he didn’t care at all and didn’t listen, was angry at us that we are bothering them, said this is not their problem, he said you should contact the delivery guy, whoever texted you. He hung up the phone on us and didn’t care that we were trying to say how we know who works for you and who is your delivery guy, we just have got an automated text with no phone number. Darvish restaurant’s rude and irresponsible staff ruined the night that we had with friends. They didn’t provide any food but charged us and we didn’t even get our money back.
I do not understand how this place doesn’t have a solid 5 star average. Puja, the manager and waiter is that kind of person you want to deal with in a restaurant. He is polite, funny, focused on details and that only add up to a great experience. We decided to come here to try Persian food for the first time. He taught us the origins of the food as we received complementary ingredients to try from his country. The food was incredible and the restaurant is tiny but extremely cozy. We plan to get back once a month since it has not only become a restaurant, but a place to relax and enjoy.
The food was absolutely amazing. I tried the beef and chicken dish. My friend ordered the veal dish. I think the veal dish was better than the beef dish. The chicken dish was absolutely incredible. I really want to go back to try more things. The yogurt based mint flavored drink was amazing as well. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent Persian restaurant!!! I ordered the barg kabab and it was fresh, juicy and cooked to perfection. It is a small restaurant but we could see many people coming to pick up the food. It was exquisite and reminded me of Iran. I highly recommend if you love persian kabab.
Easily the best authentic Iranian restaurant in town. The food is awesome! Relaxing ambiance. Pouya is great at recommending the right food. Everything perfect. 5 stars from me.
