Dainties Macaron is consistently delicious and I have recommended it to countless people already! It is nigh time I write a review for it as it is a dessert place I keep coming back to and keep sharing with friends. Their macarons are so delicious with their Korean-style buttercream and are a welcome change from traditional French-style macarons. That aside, the ice cream sandwiches are so delectable. The ice cream itself is not too sweet and are balanced out by the sweeter macarons sandwiching it. The range of flavours is incredible and includes more traditional flavours, such as pistachio, oreo, and red velvet, but they also have more untraditional flavours such as dalgona, jasmine, and occassionally yuzu. An absolute delight and every time I am down Spadina on Thursday through Sunday I make sure to head down to Dainties for a quick treat. Completely worth the cost. The owner is also very kind and treats all the desserts very delicately. He makes sure to inform you of best practices for eating the desserts (please keep in the fridge if not eating immediately!) and always thanks you for your patronage. I cannot recommend Dainties enough and I highly suggest this place for your next dessert adventure!
Black Sesame Ice Cream Sandwich was very light, true to taste and of course, delicious. I love how it wasn't too sweet. I would suggest you wait about 5 minutes or so for it to thaw a bit before you start eatting. The macaron is a little on the hard side so it tastes better once you've waited for it to soften. I didn't get the chance to try their macarons but they all look very massive and cute and I'm sure they taste just as delicious too! I would love to try all their flavours some day!
Been wanting to try this place forever and finally had the chance to pop up last week! They have super yummy flavours, very Asian inspired. They’re chewy and the size of these macarons are worth for the price! I picked up 6 flavours and getting the box was an extra 1$ but nevertheless I had such a pleasant experience in store. It’s super cute inside and the owner is really sweet, he helped me choose my flavours and gave me recommendations and told me which ones were the most popular. My favourite flavours were the purple potato, crème brûlée and the jasmine tea! I would love to try their ice cream sandwiches next time.
SO GOOD!! All their flavours are soo tasty and tastes like the real deal! The size of the macaroons are also so big I love it. Definitely will come again to try their other flavours and ice cream!
Got some macarons as a gift from a friend and omg they were so good I just had to search up the store to plan a visit next time and give a review! I had the matcha and earl grey buttercream filled macarons and they tasted nothing like regular ordinary macarons! Very soft, the flavors are much more pronounced, the sizes are definitely worth the price! I'm looking forward to trying out other flavors when I go visit!
Really yummy and tasty macarons… very interesting flavors and the size is just right! Will try the ice cream filling next time, but so pleased with the store and their variety!
Wonderful, sizeable macarons for a great price. There are always new flavours to choose from and the variety keeps us coming back for more. The Black Sesame and HK Milk Tea flavours are our favourites!The owners are lovely people and you can tell they truely care about the store and making great macarons.Make sure you get a loyalty card as well if you plan to go often!
I tried Jasmine tea ice cream sandwich. Size of this ice cream was about your palm. Outside was chewy and sweet but what I liked was that taste of the ice cream didn’t have only sweetness. I could taste fully Jasmine tea flavor. The flavor of outside and inside was well balanced.
BEST MACARONS EVER!!When I saw these I was blown away! It looked very appealing and the portion size was incredible! I would consider it to be a large macaron. I loved how each of them were individually wrapped as well. I ordered the red dates, pistachio and black sesame ice cream sandwich and it was delicious! It tasted sweet, rich, savory and the list goes on...I'm salivating right now :-)I would highly recommend this to my family and friends! The gentleman was very friendly and polite. He helped me choose my favours as it was my first time there. Thank you!
Delicious macaroon ice cream that is humongous for one person. Our favorite is the pistachio (strange green color one) and salted caramel. Our friends come here as a quick stop to grab dessert and walk more in the neighborhood. The store is quite tiny so would not be good to have a big group hang out close by.
