Apparently being open till 9:45 means your chefs went home at 9 because it was busy during the day.Edit: It is easy to play the victim in such a circumstance and we appreciate that the food service industry isn't easy to work in. That being said we also drove over 30 minutes to the restaurant and given the time missed the opportunity to eat elsewhere. A customer service gesture like providing the managers card for the next time or providing something to make up for our time would have been more meaningful than "sorry but hope to see you again"

Nice seats, very friendly and helpful staff, good food for me personally as I haven't tried Indian food before and this has been a good experience.

Most welcoming, friendly service staff. Delicious incredible fresh and beautiful food. Dine in, take out, delivery...I've done it all from these guys a lot, like a lot, a lot and have never been disappointed... and if you've read my reviews you know I have high expectations of food and food service. Cumin Kitchen is the best Indian food in Toronto!

Super delicious food, nice cozy dine in area, beautiful decor and excellent hospitality.. highly recommended..

A wonderful and refreshingly calming experience. Spice and seasoning are balanced in a way that has a sweet undertone so you don't feel assaulted by powerful overwhelming heat. Vegetarian dishes incorporated fresh ingredients satisfying the most sensitive palate at our table.Presentation is fresh, clean and simple to match the decor and spa like ambiance of the restaurant. We had a chance to meet Krishna (sorry about the spelling) who is welcoming and warm.I'm looking forward to the next visit.

We randomly picked this place coz we needed a quick lunch and since We’re picky eaters We went with the safest bet which was butter chicken. I wasn’t in love with the seeds in the rice but the butter chicken was absolutely delicious. Best I ever had. I will be coming here often from now since it’s walking distance from where I live. To top it off we had amazing customer service as well.

Upon entering Cumin Kitchen at around 1pm a few Sundays ago, the restaurant was completely empty. Although this was initially, a foreboding sign, we were informed that a visit to the restaurant at dinner is a more common occurrence. We were eventually joined by another few diners, and a stream of pickup and delivery orders kept the restaurant busy.We ordered a sample of dishes off the menu, starting with the chaat papri and tandoor paneer, and a chicken tikka masala as a main. Before any of the dishes arrived, we were provided with a complimentary poppadum and assortment of chutneys. A mint chutney was seemingly too green, and tasted a little flat, with a dominant yoghurt flavor that nullified the freshness of the herb. Additionally, I'm not sure if there was any coriander, which I personally find to elevate the freshness considerably. A mango chutney was much tastier, with the natural sweetness of the mango offset by a light spice. My mixed feelings extended to the first two dishes. The chaat papri was pretty good, if a little boring after a few bites, with a crispy base and heavy topping of yoghurt and chutneys. My verdict of the paneer was similar, with a tasty enough paneer that would have tasted better with a sauce of sorts, with the pairing of onions and bell peppers providing some char flavour, but the dish slightly dry. When the chicken tikka masala arrived, I was already slightly full, but after a bite of the dish had no issues finishing it. Labelled as a karahi on the menu, the sauce enveloping the chicken delighted. Slightly tomato-y in flavour and accentuated by butter and cream, it was deliciously spiced and at a level of heat that made it addictive. We were recommended plain basmati rice as a pairing, and the fluffy morsels of rice were the perfect vessel for Cumin Kitchen's gravy.Although initially apprehensive after the first two dishes, Cumin Kitchen's Chicken Tikka Masala may well have been the best rendition of the dish I've ever had. Upon a subsequent visit, I would strongly consider reordering the same dish, or any other of the restaurants, presumably, excellent curries.

My favorite Indian restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere, nice decor, clean, exceptional service and amazing fresh prepared Indian food. Everything is nicely presented and good portion sizes. Highly recommend

From someone that is never on social media, nor posts reviews, I had to break tradition tonight to heap praise on Cumin Kitchen!! The staff, which includes everyone from the front door, wait staff and owner, was fantastic! They were all so gracious, considerate of our experience and needs. But of course, the food, the food! The most delicious, delectable meals ever. All the positive posts are completely accurate. Only thing that makes the food better is the in-person experience. We will be back time and time again. My kids and I had a fantastic evening.

I ordered takeout last night and I was really happy with both the food and the customer service. The woman who took my order on the phone was very nice, as was the man who took payment. The lamb biryani was also delicious.
