First time back since covid and alot has changed. The overall vibe was great however the music was so loud that you could feel it in your chest like you were at a club. The food was unbelievably amazing. From the salads to the sushi and the meat of course. Our server was new I think as she disappeared many times and it took us over 45 mins just to get a drink. The men delivering the meat were fantastic as always. The prices have gone up significantly also so for 2 of us our bill was 250$$ and that's only including 3 drinks. Overall a great time and great food but could have some improvements for the price.
My bill was nearly $800 with a group of 5 adults, 2 kids plus a baby and I don't think it was worth it at all. The service was poor for the "upscale" dining experience. I celebrated my 30th and they knew this prior. I got to the table and was immediately ignored. The servers with the food was going to every table and skipping over ours. Our waitress greeted us and disappeared for awhile. When we tried to get the attention of other waitresses they walked right pass. I had to speak up about all of that in order for them to bring food to us and serve us. Our waitress did try to make it up a little but it was too late. It was extremely busy and loud and packed. Rowdy men stand and blocking minimal space. My group weren't able to order sides they wanted with the lack of assistance. My waitress knew I wasn't happy and apologized eventually. The fact that gratuity was already included in the bill sucks and they definitely knew and didn't care because they were automatically getting their tips. A first and last time for me. Extremely disappointed with the service.
The waiters who come around with the meat keep missing our table paid $80 and did not get enough meat I had to keep asking to have someone come over and bring over the food they will go to the table beside us to the right mostly not ours skip ours and skip the table to
Our waiter disappeared and didn’t even give us water. We had to ask someone else who was walking by for our drinks. Our table was constantly missed on all items & we didn’t receive our sides until we were almost done. Our server appeared again at the end just to ask if we wanted the bill. And given the option we did not think she deserved the tip that was added to all our tabs considering it was so hard to even get water.
The menu has changed the service has changed the music is way too loud for dinner I felt like a kid forgotten in a high chair waiting for service and food. The price is way too much and if I had the option to pick my tip amount I would have tipped more. I’ve been going there for years and I will never go back.
Overall good experience, the entertainment and music puts it to the next level. In terms of food and service, took a little bit of time for someone to come take our order and the server checked up on the table only a couple of times. The food and meat servers are always great, but since Covid, the value for your money is not as good. There’s no longer a buffet and you can only order a small number of the side dishes at a time. The sides come in extremely small portions and took way too long to arrive at the table. With the price having increased, I was disappointed that I’m paying more money for less food
So disappointed. ☹️ Pre-pandemic this was my FAVE restaurant in Toronto. I was so excited to introduce it to some friends tonight - but it was not great. First off, it took 25 minutes past our reservation time to seat us. The food was delicious, as always. But we barely got any of it! The servers with the meat skewers were very nice and friendly when we saw them - but they hardly ever came by. Finally we just asked for our bill and left. At one point we had sat there for 45 mins without a single person bringing us food. And we asked for the pineapple three times, and finally got some after two hours. And it on my came by the one time. We didn’t get nearly enough meat - and only a few types. I really miss the buffet and the amazing salad bar. The side dishes now are mediocre and again- our server never came by, so we only got to order a few at the beginning and never got to order more the whole evening. Overall, not a great night. Very expensive for very little food. We left hungry for sure.
We enjoyed a nice experience with attentive service, an interesting variety of good quality meats and a solid wine list. The only negative aspect was the jarring house music which is completely inappropriate for a dining experience as one cannot relax while listening to that stuff. I would recommend Copacabana to friends subject to the reservation about noise. Thank you.
The food was delicious. No matter what you ordered either side dishes or steak skewers, it was all amazing.
