This is my favourite cafe. The baked goods are AMAZING- especially the apple gruyere scone and the salty brownie. The almond tea is really great on its own or as a latte.

Busy little spot but I see why. Delicious sandwiches and really great coffee (oat milk latte). While busy they are very efficient at getting people through. Patio is also lovely!

In my opinion one of the best cafes with amazing coffee and out of this world pastry! Very professional staff. They won’t become your best friends but they’re always very pleasant and efficient which I love. Thanks for making our mornings amazing.

Contra Cafe is a nice little neighbourhood spot. I often pass by weekend mornings during or after a bike ride for a little rest and pick me up.The coffee and pastries are both very good. The service is friendly, but very slightly on the slow side (it’s understandable given how small the shop is, and that there are only usually two people working).Seating is limited indoors, but there is a lovely little sidewalk patio, which is where I usually try to get a table.4.5/5 caffeinated stars

Great coffee, delicious baked goods, and an incredibly kind staff. I was only in Toronto for a week, but they knew my order by day 3! A great place to hang out and get some work done.

Absolutely the best café around, the coffee is incredibly well made (beans from Social, they have a La Marzocco and experienced baristas!) and the baked goods are always perfect (most is brought in from Blackbird Bakery fresh daily). Contra is an exemplary hub for the local community!

SPACE:Clean with good natural lighting. The seating along the wall was tight.Outdoor patio seemed appealing but it was raining and could not use it. Love the curb appeal on the corner lot as it seems very local and off the beaten path.CROISSANT:The butter and chocolate croissants were an enjoyable snack that could be had everyday. Well done.COFFEE:Sadly the cappuccino with oat milk fell very short of expectations. It was extremely bitter. The temperature was acceptable but the presentation was poor / non existent.STAFF:Nothing overly memorable. Kind and to the point.

This is my go to coffee place if I want to treat myself. Have got my wife hooked on it also. My kids love the baked goods . My favourite is a “Flat white” which is an Aussie cappuccino. No foam, just coffee and milk. Blueberry buttermilk scones are great. Just tried the salt chocolate brownie. Amazing!

Such a wonderful cafe. They have some indoor and some outdoor seating, lots of delicious baked goods and awesome coffee. Did I mention the gluten-free selection?? The clementine almong cake is one of the most amazing things I've ever had. Pistachio cookies also fantastic. I have yet to have anything that wasn't great. Solid coffee, like I said. Please support this small business!

Great neighborhood café with good coffee and delicious pastries!
