Just went tonight for the first time & the overall vibe was excellent.DJ had a good selection of music & the comedy acts were great.On ths way out, ate some food while also getting to mingle with the owner & staff. Both were extremely hospitable. Thanks for the great hospitality & looking forward to visiting again in the future.Cheers!
I can't really say anything good about our experience other than the staff were polite and knowledgeable. The only reason we came was to see live music, advertised as being soul and blues. The tickets cost way too much for what it was - a relatively small venue with pretty well no seating and what there was, was at the back of the room where we couldn't see the band.The worst part was that the tickets say the show was at 8:00 and we got there around 7:45. When we went to the back room where the stage was we were told we couldn't go in where the music was because of 'sound checks'. The band didn't actually come on until just after 9:00. It was too windy and cold to walk around Bloor so we killed time at the bar. We didn't order because we wanted to wait until the music started to have a drink.The band itself was awful. $25? For real? The crowd (and band members) were definately of the 20 something persuasion and we're more of the old school Blues fan age. Blues? We stayed for 45 minutes and every song sounded the same and it was more like sappy soul. All electronic keyboard and vocals. Terrible.Note to self that we'll share with the live-music-fan reader, don't go to see a band unless you've heard a sample of the types of songs they play. Description on a page will probably not be as accurate as you'ld hope.
Came here for the Korean food and was so disappointed that they’ve changed the menu to more American food!!! Last time I came here for a kpop event and had a blast and the Korean food was a highlight for sure. BRING BACK THE KOREAN MENU!!! Lol I recommended so many people to this bar for the Korean food and drinks. Now it’s just another bar.
Had a horrible experience here. I ordered a vegetarian burger, when I bit into it it was a beef burger. I told the server who then laughed and said "Yeah, thats definitely meat."When we went to pay the same server then informed us it was cash only, meaning I had to leave and walk to an atm. When I handed him the cash he asked did I want change and if so how much.Go somewhere else.
Amazing fried dumplings that alone will have me coming back. Leah was amazing her recommendations on dishes where never wrong and the kimchi pancake was delicious, such friendly staff if I could add an extra star I would
Chill atmosphere ordered the beef dumpling twice they were amazing will definitely be going back.
Would have liked to have experienced the outdoor patio for lunch but they were not open at 12 like it says in their hours. Waited a bit more and checked again around 12:30 and still not open and no one answering the phone. Too bad.
The number one skewer in a Restaurant that has everything including Club.bars and patio....Very very good!
great local place that's been a staple of the annex for years, now under new management. it's a lot like the old Clinton's, but better. Decent beer selection, and really good food. They have a huge selection of skewers grilled right out front, and a covered patio. They've painted the interior and it's even more cozy than before. They have a dance floor out back that's as packed as ever.
The staff are amazing. Very talented group of individuals! A family business that is very accepting of all people. From the very front step, all the way to the DJs in the back, Clinton's is an excellent place to go for a great night out!Looking forward to returning.
