Unfortunately I did not have a positive experience at this theatre. When me and my sister first arrived we went to the booth to print our tickets. There was a printing error and so we had to go to concession to print out our tickets. We had to wait a couple of minutes until we had someone come over, and he seemed pretty hesitant and we had to show them proof in order to print it out. Next the concession. I tried to get an individual pizza slice and then they said I had to buy the entire pizza, which I don’t understand? It was also small portions in addition. When we went inside the theatre it was small and the layout was weird. I’m sure that the vip part of the theatre has better staff, but from what I’ve seen at this place there are two types of staff : staff who have little to no care and staff who care very deeply but are bound by some policy that’s out of their control . Next time I visit for another a24 film ( the film was Marcel the shell) I hope I get more kind and caring staff. I don’t think I’m gonna return any time soon. We also went on an hour train ride since we are from Hamilton. Very negative experience and I hope they make the necessary improvements.
Pros: Comfortable seats, 19+ to avoid kids and teenagers, more private couples seating and spacing, restaurant food and alcoholic drinks, restaurant and bar waiting areaCons: Video and audio quality, limited gluten-free options, price, food trays, ordering processWe came here for a Saturday afternoon date for a VIP movie. The VIP section is actually located in an adjacent building with a separate entrance for all 19+ guests. A family of 4 tried to enter behind us mistakenly and the staff at the front acted like bouncers denying entry to the family with young kids.We arrived 20 minutes before our showtime and sat in our seats. The seating is comfortable and made for two people to lounge together comfortably. The concept of dinner and a movie is great, however, there are still many improvements needed. The trays are quite small and off to the side which means you are not really engaged with the person you're with and it also makes it difficult to share any food. The servers have to scoot their way through the seats to get to those in the middle. I'm surprised the theatre wasn't designed differently to accommodate servers. Also, I'm surprised there isn't an app or tablet available to place orders instead of trying to call a server who is running around the theatre. The food and drinks are very overpriced. I ordered a Caesar which came to $18. Both my husband and I required gluten-free accommodations which meant the only choices we had for food were nachos, popcorn, or a salad. We opted for the nachos and popcorn, but that really didn't feel like we had elevated choices over regular movie theatre food options. I hope they will expand their gluten-free menu soon. The theatre itself is quite small and the screen is small as well. If the VIP screen had something comparable to the IMAX or UltraAVX theatres, I could see myself returning to VIP for the comfortable seats and spacing between guests, but I felt like I was missing out on the great audio and vifdo and had to make a sacrifice.Table service stops once the movie begins, so you do need to arrive early to order in advance.Overall, the seats were comfortable, but that was really the primary difference.
Had a great VIP experience.I got the chair and there was something there from the last people. Easy mistake because it was almost like hidden garbage, so can't fault too much. But the food was good and the drink was fine. Felt like it was rum with cheap juice but it was still yummy. The sound was nice for the movie and good screen. It is my neighborhood go to cinema, but glad it is!
Nothing left of the so called VIP experienced at the movies. Sure they got comfortable seats but you can’t order food at the seats ahead of the show. The app doesn’t work, there is no one coming by to check on you. You might as well go to a beer store pick up your drinks and watch the movies at home at the comfort of your own couch. Over priced tickets which aren’t worth it.
Quite like this location! Not as congested as other Cineplex theatres. Ample options, and a very big parking lot. For a better experience, they also offer VIP theatres which have designated seating in large recliner chairs. If you don't go to the theatres often, I highly recommend going VIP for a better experience!
Comparing this to other VIP theatres, this location has large brown leather seats that were comfy but don't have the recliner feature. Picked the top corner seat which was a mistake as you can see the entire runway of lights down the stairs from this particular seat while watching the movie. The washrooms were clean but the toilet paper is barely one-ply; took me forever to try to rip even a few sheets off. Otherwise, was a good experience.
Wow, absolutely love the theatres; and this one if my favorite! Where do I start? The location is just the perfect distance from my home, and the workers are very nice! Service was quick & easy, and before I knew it I was on my way to my seat! The arcade is an awesome way to pass time and have some fun before your movie! Oh, you didn't know? This place has an mini-ARCADE! Basketball, dance machines, and of course claw machines!(Not to mention, that the restrooms and theatre rooms are cleaned quite often! After every movie showing they clean up the seats!)All in all, an amazing time for the family!(Also, at the time of writing this Sonic The Hedgehog 2 has just came out! Plus, they're giving out free posters & comics! Come in while you can get them!)
Great theatre and location. The Milestone, Montana's and Kelsey's are permanently closed now though :'( Hopefully some great new dining options will open in the new buildings that will be going up in their place.I tried the VIP restaurant for the first time and it was lovely. The staff was very friendly and attentive. There was no one else at the restaurant though so that may have had something to do with it! As an introvert that doesn't like crowds, this pandemic has been great for me XD
I’ve been there on a busy Tuesday (discount day) and there were huge lines at concessions, everything was very slow. The concessions prices were overpriced as always. The room itself was very clean and I had a great time watching a movie. Might choose less busy days next time.
Clean facilities and friendly staff but snacks are expensive (not breaking news)! I love the theatres but I think it’s too early for full capacity, especially if you’re in the regular theatre. I don’t remember seats being so close together. Personally probably won’t be back for a while unless it’s VIP or a slow show time. Popcorn delicious as usual!
