We had reservations for our anniversary dinner. Overall the food was good. But service was lacking. Our second appetizer brought out was wrong, after fixing the order it came out 30 minutes after our first appetizer and the main meal was brought out at the same time as the second appetizer. Our table had no cutlery even after food had come out, and we had to ask for it to be brought out. And we had to keep asking for water to be refilled or it wouldnât get filled. Overall the meal was good but the level of service was a bit disappointing, especially considering it was a special night.
I was really disappointed with Cibo this time around. There were chunks of garlic in our pasta and it just wasnât as good as it was the last two times we rent. Super disappointing and an expensive dinner to be dissatisfied.
Excellent food and service. The waitress let us enjoy some drinks and chat for a while and checked in on us just as we were getting hungry and feeling ready to order. A perfect night out.
Overall our experience was quite good. Both the burrata and Prosciuto di Parma were of excellent quality. The arugula salad with mushrooms (note: donât forget to season them!) was delicious and the pizza and house-made pappardelle were simple, and authentic just as Italian food should be. The barrel-aged Negroni were fantastic and I was delighted to be able to enjoy a Barolo by the glass which was really a delicious treat. Sadly, our patio table was mere feet from a sewer grate which afforded us an occasional unwelcome waft of you know what. (Though not their fault!) However, our experience was elevated by Sam who was on the support staff. Our server was more than adequate, however Sam, in just a few table visits, displayed a level of warmth, kindness and genuine hospitality that is rarely seen. As a veteran of this business, I know a thing or two. Sam is the genuine article. Open and generous, this backserver made our last meal in Toronto memorable. If it were me, Iâd have him training as a server immediately.
Perfect. Everything I knew it would be.
Service was fabulous, food was great, and drinks were tasty and strong! Would visit again.
Thé service we received was amazing! Our server was very kind and thoughtful and the food was to die for. The restaurant was beautiful and we would come back again!
Had a fantastic meal at Cibo. Solid wine list to choose from by the glass. Fresh pasta dishes were amazing. Definitely make a reservation, the place started to really pick up around 6:30.
We where seated quickly on the outdoor patio. Patio is on a side street off of King St. Service was quick and our waitress was very friendly and helpful As for the food. It was excellent. Great flavour and cooked perfectly. We would not hesitate to go back here
Overall, I would not recommend Cibo. Food: The food wasn't great. The risotto was too salty, the pasta was hard and no, not al dente, there were pieces of my pasta that hadn't been cooked and were stuck together and hard. Service: Service started off well but once more people started coming in, the service declined. It took about 15 minutes to get a glass for my beer and my second beer didn't even arrive. Some of the staff looked overwhelmed and trying hard to keep up. Setting: It's a large restaurant with some private dining space. They spray a lot of fragrance in the washroom which was odd.
