Excellent food and service! Fresh delicious and savoury, this Mexican spot does not disappoint. Margaritas were excellent, kale salad perfectly seasoned, zucchini fritters really worth the try! I would highly recommend the fish tacos - generous and superbly garnished! Staff friendly, unpretentious and attentive! Definitely coming back!
We were invited to our friends milestone birthday party. We were seated upstairs in a covered heated patio. Jules and Jose were our servers. The food was amazing. There was a set menu so we were able to sample different items. The lychee cervice was awesome. It was vegetarian however the texture look and feel was real.. we had to ask if there was seafood in it...there wasn't. Chicken enchiladas were delicious. Jules and Jose were quick, friendly and accommodating. This restaurant is a journey to get too however well worth the food. The drinks seemed like they only had 0.5ounces of tequila. Other than that a great experience.
Sorry I missed posting this sooner but loved the vibe at this place. With the open and closures I hope it survives because I do plan to return when I am back in Toronto. The food, drinks and service was great.
Great food, great service, great Ambiance! They had special menu for Valentines day. We ordered fried goat cheese, that was very unique dish I have tried.
If love Mexican food then you definitely should check out this restaurant. Went to try their heated patio recently. I had Mexican street corn ? which was amazing, beef & fish tacos and the cinnamon sticks with ice cream for dessert.
When we went it was during the revised restrictions so we had to do with rooftop dining. There were heaters and a large tarp surrounding the whole roof. The inside of the place looked nice but unfortunately we'll have to visit at a later time to dine inside.We had ordered the queso fundido, vegetable fritters, tacos and enchiladas. The highlight was definitely the fritters as they tasted incredible and would definitely recommend. The enchilada and fundido were alright and weren't anything special to us. However the tacos were a bit disappointing given the amount of carrots on them. I've never had carrots on a taco before and this is likely the last time. The flavours didn't match so I wouldn't recommend this for those with a similar feel. Overall it was a nice place but not high on my list for Latin American restaurants.
Decent food but not the best value for money. Unfortunately the starter I ordered was a cold dish served in a hard taco. Very hard to eat. Food taste was average.
Terrible standard margarita out of a tap ?? You would think a bartender at a well rated place actually took the time to make a fresh margarita huh? Well you’d be wrong if you were at Chula. For $12 they dump that sh** out of a tap and into a water glass with a bit of salt and call it a night. Service was sub-par. Food was decent (we had the beef and fish tacos) nice size portions, but mild flavour. Place was very overcrowded for a city amidst a pandemic
Limited menu but delicious tacos. However, they were not as tasty as we were expecting. We ordered beef and chicken tacos which were a bit dry in our opinions. The calamari was 10/10 and we would definitely go back for that. Liked the vibe and servers were friendly and nice.
Nice atmosphere. Went for a Bday dinner, our server was really nice. The food was good. I enjoyed my Enchilada filling, the calamari was nice and fresh with a great crust. The street corn was nice too....The drinks where okay, the drinks where a tad sour like just tasting like lime juice and not like a lovely concoction..where you get a balance of other flavour..like mango or strawberries...in any case we enjoyed our time there.
