First time here. Came during covid 19 but dine in was available. Great tasting bbq, nice smoke rings. You have to order and pay first then they give you a number and bring the food to you where you are sitting. Waitress was nice and friendly. Definitely will return in the future and also highly recommend to those who like good old fashioned bbq!
Unfortunately the ribs were sold out by ~7pm on the Saturday that we visited, but what was available was all very good. Our favorite item by far was the brisket though, which was incredibly tender and juicy. They had 3 washrooms. 2 of them were out of service and the one remaining was clogged and the floor was flooded.
I've been wanting to try this BBQ joint for a long time but just never made it down since I'm never in the area. Thankfully this changed a couple of weeks ago when a couple of friends suggested we head down.As usual we ordered too much food but loved every bite. Apart from this epic meat platter we also ordered their smoked wings, fried chicken legs, fried cauliflower, cornbread, and mac and cheese. The platter was packed with pork ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken, brisket, and a half pound of burnt ends. I'm not a big fan of pork but I was blown away by the ribs and pulled pork. But the star of the show was that brisket. It was absolutely delicious, tender and full of flavour. The burnt ends were just as good.Delicious food, good customer service and friendly people, what's not to love about Cherry Street BBQ? We'll definitely be back!
Located in a historic building in the middle of a massive construction site (WaterfronTORONTO), Cherry Street Bar-B-Que is literally a hidden gem. The space itself has a lot of character and history. We ordered the Small Sampler. And boy that name was a deception. It had a generous portion of proteins. The brisket was the star with a perfect smoke ring. The pulled pork and spare ribs were full of flavour. The baked beans with chick peas was unlike anything we'd had before. The corn bread (which was extra $) was a tad small for the price.Service was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Been on my wishlist for almost a year. Finally was able to make it. The staff is so friendly and warm. The place itself has a welcoming vibe. Was teeming with people all the while we were there. We got the large sampler between the 4 of us and struggled to finish it, good portion size and small appetites for us. In any case it's a lot of meat that falls of the bone. The Brisket was probably the most tender I have had. The ribs, chicken everything on the platter was delicious. We got mac n cheese, beans, potaoes and coleslaw for sides. Again great especially the mac n cheese. They have a decent bar as well as more food options. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and I will be back for the sausage and more food.
We ordered the Cherry St Platter ($150) which feeds 4 and had plenty of leftovers to take home. The meats were all amazing and some of Toronto's best BBQ. The sides could've been better. To anyone driving there, parking is very limited - only about 5 spots outside.
My first experience here was very good. I've always wanted to try this place every time I was in the area and I finally had an opportunity to try it out! Been to a few BBQ spots but this was by far the best. Also a great option in the summer as they have a patio. If you're looking for a great BBQ spot in Toronto, it's definitely worth a visit. If you’re not up for dining in they also offer take out. Highly recommend and would visit again.
There isn't much that will bring you around the area where this place is, until you try some of their BBQ.As is the case with most BBQ places, the brisket is the star of the show and the item that you absolutely must try. It's moist, tender, flavourful, and leaves you wanting more, even when you feel super full. That being said, the other meats on the menu are also spectacular and you should definitely try them. I also got the ribs and pulled pork, and they were great additions to the brisket. In terms of sides, I really have to recommend the mac and cheese. Super tasty and a great accompaniment to the meats. The coleslaw isn't the best I've had, but the mac and cheese was solid.Stop reading this and go get some BBQ.Check out @foodpharaoh on Instagram for more food!
Had the pleasure of sampling both the Mac and Cheese and the brisket sandwich from Cherry St. BBQ. Being in the west end, I am in a bit of a BBQ desert. The brisket was delicious and savoury; can be enjoyed naked or with any variety of BBQ sauce - depending on your tastebuds. The Mac and Cheese was also delicious, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I devoured the brisket before even sampling the Mac and Cheese. The entire meal overall was delicious and Lawrence is extremely passionate about customer service and food. I would highly recommend Cherry St. BBQ and will definitely be back for more.Apologies since my photo doesn't do it justice with the lighting, and I already bit into it before taking the picture... Sorry, couldn't resist!
Stopped here before a work event and I wasn't disappointed. Food is tasty and service is outstanding. I highly recommend the Frito Pie and the little sliders with a side of BBQ sauce.
