Great restaurant in a great neighbourhood. Friendly service and the food was delicious. We tried the Cajun Chili momo (mix of veggie, chicken and beef) and the spicy thenthuk. The broth in the soup was flavourful - hearty, sour and sweet with a blend of cilantro, vegetables, meat and chewy noodles bringing it all together. Prices were very affordable and the portions were large.
My friend and I decided to have dinner at Cafe Tibet Bar & Grill after checking out the Japanese cherry blossoms at High Park. We were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly server. The ambiance was intimate and cozy. We ordered the Cajun Chilli Momo and Spicy Coconut Momo, both of which were flavourful and filling (the Cajun Chilli Momo was definitely the winner though!). Special shout-out to the wonderful server who was efficiently managing all the tables in the restaurant with a smile on her face.We will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu :)
I was at the Cafe Tibet the other day with a friend. I ordered the Cajun Momos, and Thukpa noodles. Their Cajun sauce is good, but the momo itself was very bland and tasteless. I've tried momos in quite some places, and this was prolly one of the least appetizing (Loga's, Tashi Delek, and Garleek have much more delicious momos)Their thukpa noodles seemed a bit undercooked, and the noodles seemed a bit raw, again so very tasteless. The lowest rating is because the service was bad as well. The server was rude, and def. needs to learn how to speak to guests.
Cajun momos and hot & sour soup were excellent! Great comfort food on a cold day, and just enough spice to get a light sweat going.
The food is fantastic. Took the owner’s recommendations of the chowmein, pan fried momos, cajun chili momos and thenthuk, and was very happy with the dishes. Pretty good selection of drinks as well. The owner was also very friendly and accommodating.Great place and would love to swing by again.
I really loved this place. The Momos were great! I would really love more sauce to go with them, but overall the food was so delicious and fresh and especially wonderful on a chilly winter day!
Shared a meal with my husband. We looked at each other multiple times and said, “F***, this is soooo good!!! A real gem. The spicy coconut momos and spicy Cajun momos are unique and one of a kind dishes that are both dangerously good.
We've only been twice, but our friends are frequent diners and fans of this place. Yesterday's feast was incredible and we'll definitely be coming back. The Cajun momos are a must order - really spicy and flavourful. We had an assorted amount of beef, chicken, and my new favourite veggie momo in town. The thenthuk (hand-pulled noodle soup) is also a must order. No pics of that - it got eaten up too quickly.
The food was amazing, generous portions, and great staff. Loved trying Tibetan food - kind of a mix between Chinese, Indian, and Thai influences. MUST Try the soup.
Such a delicious meal with amazing vegan options, excellent Momo's and absolutely lovely waitstaff. Thank you so much! We are full and so very happy; will definitely be coming again as soon as possible.
