My girlfriends and I have eaten at Byblos on multiple occasions. We have always been awed by the food standards, the decor and the service. Tonight we opted to eat on the patio. This was a completely different experience. It is obvious that the patio is on Yonge Street next to the traffic, but there has been no attempt to beautify the space with plantings or solid umbrellas that provide any shade. There are flimsy umbrellas that the staff did not know how to open. My girlfriend (who is a server at the Platinum Club) and a lady at the next table spent much of the evening manipulating the umbrellas for shade and to keep them from falling down. The service was perfunctory and in no way represented previous visits where they made sure to describe the dish and checked in on a regular basis. We wound up asking a different wait staff for various requests, as our server was not often outside. At the end, we expressed our dismay to a manager who thanked us for sharing and sent us on our way. The food was tasty as always but it really feels like there should be a discount for eating outside. It is not all the same experience as eating inside. For the prices you pay, I would not revisit that patio for the ambience or the service.

Enjoyed dinner here with my friends. A little pricey but it’s a nice restaurant. Server gave us recommendations. My favourite is their dumpling and baklava dessert. Easily found parking along the street.

We have been to Byblos before, and found it wonderful before the Pandemic. Service made it shine! attentive, informative, personal before 2020. This time in June 2022, for a special birthday, we arrived, were seated and forgotten, ordered and had the food plopped down with no grace or style, had several wrong dishes brought to us, and the waiter paid no attention to us, to our order, to our food, or to anything. At a restaurant of this quality and these prices, service is what makes a place outstanding - or mediocre. The flavours continue to be impressive but lack of attention in service made us sorry we'd gone.

Delicious food! I liked everything I ordered (see photos). Service was great as well. Restaurant is beautifully decorated. This will be a regular date night spot for me, highly recommended!

Great Lebanese restaurant but expensive.

Overall it was a pleasant experience just because of the ambiance and good company. I felt the food was slightly salty tho. The fig dessert was good. My biggest concern was chipped dinnerware and them serving food in chipped dishes and plates. When I spoke to the sever she asked as if I’m just pointing it out because I got hurt which was not the case to which her reply was ‘hmm’I meannn are you waiting for an accident to happen??! NO RESTAURANT at this level or any should be serving ANYTHING AT ALL in Broken Plates!!

The food is yummy but a bit on the pricey side. The staff are friendly and will make recommendations if you need or if it’s your first time. The seating is comfortable and atmosphere is very nice. Great to come with a date or friends family and catch up over shareables. The staff don’t rush you so you can enjoy your meal and conversation. The chocolate cake is delicious.

Great place, especially for dinner. I like this location much better than the downtown one. The dumplings are a must try, loved the yogurt sauce. The service was great too and ambiance is cozy. Nice place, a bit pricey but worth it.

Great ambience and food! The lamb shoulder and truffle rice were my favourites. They have a nice collection of wine too. Definitely on the pricier end, but worth going once in a while!

Came last month with a girlfriend for the Valentine's day dinner set menu! It was $95 per person for 3 courses. We selected:Beef TartareTurkish Manti DumplingsShort RibCodChocolate Olive Oil Cake x2The restaurant is decorated very well, super cute, great ambiance. However it's freezing downstairs where the bathroom is!The food was good but not worth the special holiday menu price. If we would have come any other day with regular pricing we would have felt the food to quality ratio would have been much better! I never had beef tartare Mediterranean flavored before, it was very different and interesting. Our favourite was actually the dessert, it was phenominal! The rest of the food was good but nothing spectacular. I've heard the downtown location is different and better, would be willing to try it out!
