Was really excited to try this place. Ordered a cookies n cream cupcake and some cinnamon buns. The cupcake was ok - tastes like a Safeway cake. Cinnamon buns were really good. The main thing I noticed was the customer service… we were taking our time deciding and she was kind of impatient and seemed irritated. really made the experience kind of blah
They have many varieties of baked gluten-free sweets. I couldn't believe that nothing was wrong with the quality compared to regular sweets. Also, their sweets look beautiful, so instagrammable. You can take it out and eat in a park near there.
Had a friend coming in for her birthday. She has her seal as a chef and a separate certificate in baking. But my wife can’t have gluten. Custom ordered from Bunner’s. Wow. The chef couldn’t believe how good it was and my wife could enjoy with the rest of us! Truly outstanding. Also, the custom ordering online was easy and intuitive. Now my go to cake source!
Love this place since it opened. So much variety and options. It is always a great place to visit and eat. Staff is very helpful. Might be a bit pricey but sugar content is lower so it is not too sugary. Best vegan cucpake ever. Cheesecake is bomb too.
It is simply the best vegan dessert place ever! They also have savoury dishes like quiche and frozen ready to make, pasta! My personal favourite is their take on the Joe Louis I would get as a kid fit a school snack. They made it a Josephine Louise and it is AMAZING!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! their ice cream in the summer is the best in the City vegan or not!
Paid $69 for this sad leaning cake. It was disappointing to me and the birthday celebrant. The quality of their products does not justify the high price. Also the lack of empathy and response from their customer service is appalling.
Did not have a positive experience. Ordered a month in advance for my partner’s birthday (cherry cheesecake) and xmas dinner (white chocolate & cranberry tart) with high expectations but unfortunately the goods weren't edible and ended up in the trash can. They were extremely sweet and left a disgusting after taste. Pretty sad considering they were highly recommended.
I'm visiting Toronto from Winnipeg for a week and decided to Google the best vegan places because Winnipeg doesn't have many. This place popped up, and I'm so glad it did! I went and got a peppermint hot chocolate cupcake, a chocolate cupcake, and a jalapeno cheddar scone. Although I haven't tried the cupcakes yet, they smell fantastic. I ate the scone and it was absolutely AMAZING. Definitely will be going again before I go back home!
Ordered 8 Witch Hat Cupcakes for a Halloween get-together, was able to pick them up the day after ordering and they were absolutely delicious!! It can already be difficult finding treats that are gluten free and vegan, and even more difficult finding ones that taste good. Definitely a 10/10 experience, all our guests loved them!
This is my go-to spot for a vegan treat when I'm downtown! I try something different every time I go and have never been disappointed--cookies, carrot cake, and chocolate cupcakes are particularly stellar. Staff are always extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients as well, which my friends with allergies really appreciate. Cannot recommend Bunner's enough!
