Service was slow. Cooks called for servers frequently and they simply ignored them. My food sat in the serving area for 5 minutes while the cook yelled for the server. Finally, someone who looked like the floor manager served my food. It seems like my waitress received a lot of orders for cappuccinos/lattes that delayed her for the length my my experience. They could probably use a food runner/busser. Or maybe the manager can spend less time socializing with her friends on the patio and more time supporting the servers. The food was alright. Fresh ingredients. Bottomless coffee is light tasting and smooth. Kitchen is fast but annoying when calling for servers.
Went here for brunch both days this weekend with my girlfriend. She loves the ambience and the food of the restaurant. We usually spend 1.5-2h eating and talking to each other and the staff has been so friendly to us. We spoke with Dave a couple of times during our visits and he is awesome. Will probably be our new weekend brunch spot from now on.Cheers from J & J see you next weekend!
I haven’t had a breakfast like this in a long time, asked for a sandwich and a burger and everything was incredibly tasty, crunchy and thicc ? a little on the salty side, but still good, just a bit less next time.
Boon USED to be well priced and a great place to go for breakfast. I was appalled at the last time I went there. They charged for each coffee (top ups) etc etc..prices have soared & food quality has declined. Do not recommend nor will I ever go there again.Way overpriced for what they offer...I go to Cafe Diplomatico for 1/3 the price & better food!
TL;DR: Great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Friendly staff and great food!I came here with my friend on a Wednesday morning at around 10:30AM. We didn’t have to wait long for a table which was a plus. I’ve never been to Boom but my friend had and it was a nice place. It has a very chill and relaxed atmosphere which made enjoying the food even better. The music was at a good level where you can hear it but still have a conversation; some places just blast the music and that just ruins the mood. The servers were very friendly and fast; luckily, we didn’t have to wait long for the food.I got the Tropical Twister smoothie and Sausage ‘Eh meal. Everything was delicious and very filling! They had some other interesting menu items that I would like to try next time I’m here as well.My only complaint, is that the entrance can be confusing for some ? They bought the store next to them and that is where you enter from. Luckily I was with my friend who knew about this but I saw a couple of people trying to get in through the old entrance. And yes, they do have signs directing you to the new entrance, but not many people read these signs. As I only tried two things from the menu, I can’t fully recommend anything over another just yet. But, I’m sure if you come to Boom, you will not be left disappointed!
We had a sit down/indoor breakfast after 2 long years.(pandemic) Food was delicious. We missed this establishment so much. Our server was friendly, helpful answering our questions. Love BOOM !
Food was flavourful and ample. A busy place but no lines to get in when we were there at 10:30 on a Saturday morning. Took a while to get our food, but otherwise the service was great and attentive. The eggs Benedict poutine is well worth a try.
My wife and I went to boom St.Claire on Saturday for the first time.We had a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic, and Paul the manager went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We will definitely go back.
Staff were friendly, owner was courteous. Food was fantastic. Had two sides of bacon and sausage. Bacon was crispy as requested. Just a fantastic experience.
The urban omelet has bacon and turkey as stated on the menu but I could hardly taste the bacon. In addition, the omelet was a bit too dry. The fries came with the omelet has quite a bit of salt on it compare to the omelet. The presentation was good and the staff service was excellent. I am extremely disappointed with the coffee though. One could definitely get a better coffee at that price from Starbucks or equivalent.
