Wow, best Hungarian food I've eaten in a restaurant--here, in Hungary, or anywhere! And I'm of Hungarian ancestry, so I've had quite a lot of Hungarian restaurant meals. We had the wooden plate for 4, which was copious and included delicious cabbage rolls as an appetizer. Everything on it was amazing. The Borzaska was especially good. For dessert we tried the cottage cheese crepe, also delish. Although the restaurant is small, they are able to accommodate large groups, e.g. of 15. Highly recommend.
Fantastic restaurant! Authentic hungarian food, great portion sizes, and a nice wine selection. It is child friendly with a great atmosphere. We can't wait to go again.
This place is the real deal! Authentic Hungarian food cooked to perfection. The menu is extensive and includes all the best of Hungarian cuisine. So hard to choose! But we settled on the wooden platter (assorted dish, MUST TRY! It's truly an experience), pork schnitzel (so tender!), bean soup (like grandma used to make!), goulash soup (tender & heavenly), cuke salad (sweet & salty perfection), and a lovely bottle of California red. Oh! And if you've never tried Hungarian pear palinka, start off with a round of shots for everyone...they're super smooth and make you feel just right. This was my first time dining out since Covid started, and I couldn't have found a better spot to break my "fast." OH, and the portions!!! Just wow. Thanks, Tulipan! You rock. :D

Came for lunch and loved it! Really fresh produce and cooked to perfection. Cordon bleu was fantastic and service was friendly and prompt. Will return with foodie friends. Strongly suggest you dine in, as schnitzel doesn’t travel well in a container.
My favourite has been the beef stew with dumplings but my husband liked the schnitzel. Soups were also really good and comforting!
Great addition to the row of diverse restos on St Clair. Freshly cooked Hungarian dishes, to perfection! I think my schnitzel was the best I had in Toronto in years. Friendly, courteous service. Highly recommend.
Great restaurant with amazing Hungarian cuisine. The different kind of menus what everyone should try are: Cordon Bleu, Hunter Schnitzel, Breaded Cheese, Betyar cutlet, Breaded Mushroom, Grilled Salmon, Gypsy Steak. Hardly recommend everyone to try out Hungarian cuisine.
