Friendly neighborhood coffee bar with wine, two beers on tap, and a breakfast sandwich plus some standard coffee shop pastries. Had an iced matcha. Friendly staff!
Absolutely lovely little coffeeshop with a really friendly staff. Great place to get some work done or just enjoy a delicious coffee.
This is a great little shop. It was the first place I tried during a long weekend in Toronto and I ended up coming back here every morning. The menu is limited and simple but everything I had (cortado, latte, breakfast sandwich) was delicious and prepared very quickly. To be honest I prefer this over the sprawling menus of flavored drinks that a lot of places have.I appreciate simple things done well. Both employees I met were super friendly. One of them was the shop owner (and rudely of me I didn't get his name!) and he and I had some great conversation. Speaking of that, in case he reads this, I want to let him know that I did make my flight back to the US - but only by minutes - and yes, indeed, I did have to clear customs before the flight!
I come here every time i come to Toronto and always hit up the cafe before we head back home on Sunday's. The iced Hazelnut Lattes or iced Mochas are always delicious, coffee is fabulous!!! but the bacon and egg breakfast sandwiches are where its at!! I have tried to re-create these and i get really close but that sauce, man is it tasty!!! Please tell me the secret ingredient!!!!!! LOL :P .. can't wait to come back!
The best latte and cappuccino I ever had in Toronto. Awesome service and a cozy place to sit down, have your espresso drink and chat with a friend. I wish I could stop by every day:).Thank you for your great service and exceptional coffee!
One day I strive to venture outside my comfort zone and try a different beverage… but why when there’s Americanos like this in the world? Seriously delicious Americano they have here. Highly recommend. Also great tunes ?
Breakfast Sandwich Review: I'm going to do something that most of Toronto will disagree with...I'm going to say that I honestly think their breakfast sandwiches are probably the most overrated thing I've ever had in my life. I'm in a position where I can't escape eating them at least a few times a year (I've probably had about 12) so I'm going to write this review in hopes that the powers that be will switch up their tactics....just try something new. For the record, I went to chef school and cooked professionally for over 10 years. 'No one cares brah'Okay...here's my case:1) The Boiled Egg - they boil their eggs. It's just not a fried egg. That for starters is a massive mistake. You bite into this big white circular disk of an egg and get this dried mound of flaky egg yolk...it's brutal. It's dry, it's flavourless, it takes up the majority of the sandwich. I assume this will never change, it's 100 times easier to pump out boiled eggs than fried eggs..but it's item #1 nonetheless.2) The Over-Toasted, yet Soggy English Muffin - somehow their english muffins are both always over-toasted (like borderline burnt) yet also soggy...whatever this truffle oil sauce is that they use...they go way too generous with it. It's bad. Like bite in and stain your clothes bad. Napkins are mandatory. The dynamic of both kinda dry bread with a burnt tinge with oil oozing out the sides makes for a very unpleasant housing for this breakfast sandwich.3) The Lack of Meat & Cheese. They're there, but they're not prominent. Item 1 and 2 overpower the existence of item 3. The bacon is usually a little dry and just too thin to taste in relation to the egg. And cheese...to be honest I don't even remember tasting cheese. Again, the oil you taste is not from melted cheese, it's from this 'famous' truffle oil. If there were another layer, something thick enough to offset this massive disk of dried egg...it would help, a lot. A slice of ham, a sausage patty...anything.That's about it. It's a really overrated sandwich that everyone seems to love for reasons I will never understand. A bagel (harder to over-toast), A nice herb aioli, a nice eggs scramble with melted havarti....endless options in the quest for the perfect breakfast sandwich. Don't stop here, chef!
Best breakfast sandwich in the city! Amazing coffee and place in general
This is the best coffee in Toronto.Always friendly staff and GREAT breakfast sandwiches but, I repeat, come for the coffee stay for the sandwich!
Coffee was actually quite good but the vibes are just off. The concept and decor don't really make sense and it isn't an atmosphere I would want to linger in for any longer than necessary. I wouldn't go out of my way to return here. The manager seemed pretty rude to his employees and I didn't enjoy his energy.
