Wonderful food and exceptional service. The steak was one of the best I have had. Will definitely come back was expensive but worth the price.

Made plans to take my wife for anniversary and noted that when I made the reservation with Angelo. Unfortunately he was not on duty the evening that we went and although we had a reservation the staff acted like we hadn't arranged anything and said they would try to find a table for us. When we were seated the waiter paid little attention to us (perhaps we didn't choose a pricey enough wine?) and the limited menu offered nothing suitable to a smaller palate (all steak sizes huge). My wife had the lamb and it was large enough to feed three people so of course there was a substantial amount left over. What a waste. No mention of the anniversary and we had to pour our own wine as we didn't see the waiter again until it was time to get the bill. I have wanted to go to this restaurant for many years but as of our experience would be hard pressed to return. An unmemorable outing.

My husband & I had a lovely afternoon at Barberian’s Steakhouse!! Delicious jumbo shrimp cocktail, Escargots, Dry Aged Ribs Steaks that were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was so professional, welcoming & attentive …..seamless service. Also, we were invited by Abrar to take a tour of one of the wine cellars on site…..so cool. Abrar was extremely knowledgeable, professional & charming…..he is a definite asset to Barberian’s Steakhouse. We will definitely return…..thank you Barberian’s! ??

Super easy to find, walking distance to several major hotels. We took the subway, less than a five minute walk away. Small entrance, lots of staff, very attentive. Great attention to service, very accommodating and helpful. The steaks are expensive, but still hold value. The sides are limited, and should probably serve two people. While we enjoyed a wonderful dinner, we all agreed the interior was getting dated and could use a little brightening up. It looks old school steak house, but the clientele is wearing t shirts and ball caps now. Time for a makeover.

Prime rib is awesome as is the side of asparagus…baked potato was cold…

Me and a large group of close friends had an incredible meal here, with excellent service. The staff was quick and extremely pleasant, and explained all of the menu options to us in a thorough way. The drinks, appetizers and steak were all perfect and I would highly recommend Barbarians to anyone looking for a great night out.Extra shout out to the staff who also went above and beyond to give my party of 7 people a private room. Definitely a nice surprise we did not expect, but really appreciated.

Disappointed in the overall experience. We frequent most steak houses in Toronto from Jacobs to Blue Bloods. From the moment my family walked in we were immediately judged for having children with us. After our $1400 bill I would say our service and food was sub par. I had to ask for my wine glass to be refilled, our Yorkshire buddings were extremely burnt. After our server received a table that was more suited to their clientele we were absolutely abandoned. I could go on but overall I’m just disappointed.

Been a few years since I've been to Barbs but never had a bad meal and service is always amazing.

Food was great. Delicious and cooked perfectly. However I felt the service was a tad 'rough'. Didn't feel very welcomed.

My friends were very stressed out (teachers) and I felt a reunion was due. So I decided to take them out on a Sunday before Christmas for steak and some choice picks from my wine cellar. I brought a 96 Vega Sicilia Unico and Alighieri Amarone. They decanted both properly no sediment. ($75 corking fee per bottle)There were five of us and we arrived a little before 5. We checked coats and were seated by the entrance which was a bit chilly. We ordered bacon strips for 5 (to die for) and grilled beef salami (tasty). One shrimp cocktail (huge), one Caesar salad (very bland needs garlic, anchovy and bacon bits), one salmon steak with vert sauce (good). 18 oysters they were small but fresh they needed mignonette. Two 24 oz porterhouse steaks one med well one med rare(both superb). One with peppercorn the other bearnaise sauce. Peppercorn sauce was not thick and peppery like it should be. Two rib steaks (excellent), 7 bottled waters, one 12 year old irish whiskey. We were very happy campers, free pickle plate, killer toppings for baked potatoes (strangely, no butter, and very dry potatoes.) I liked the historical decor reminded me of Moishe's in Montreal when I was a kid. Dessert, yes amazingly we had that! Two flourless lava cakes with whipped cream, strawberry and blackberry sauce. I found it too salty to eat they took it off my bill. My female friend loved it, two New York cheesecakes with chocolate sauce both inhaled with gusto. Finally one order of apple beignets with vanilla ice cream which was superb. Imagine an apple ring covered in pastry dough deep fried then rolled in cinnamon and sugar. Service was good and not intrusive we were there until 9:30 pm. I was shocked by the wine prices more than 300% markup. I would lower them and sell more wine. Menu is smaller than it was the last time I was there. With a 15% tip bill came to $1020 which I thought was fine for Toronto. Note the Unico above they sell it for $1915! Use their website wine list to choose your wine or bring your own. Love these family owned institutions and like to support them.
