One of my new favourite places. The food is amazing. I've tried their spicy rigatoni, gnocchi, margerita pizza, and garlic fingers and they all taste SO GOOD. The sauce that comes with the garlic fingers is so bomb as well. Their drinks are good too and the atmosphere is great. Totally would recommend. Service is pretty good as well for how packed it is. 10/10
This place makes you feel as if you are sitting at some bar in Europe, it has so many layers to its ambiance, the entrance arch itself is so picturesque and the moment you enter you are greeted with artificial green trees all around and to compliment them they have layers of warm toned series lights, furthermore Lit candles everywhere which makes this place so cozy. Also really liked the brick finish to interior walls. Now let’s comes to the food we were being told they have the best wood fired pizza and it’s true their pizzas are indeed delicious, we started off with Bruschettas, for the mains we went for the pizzas and pasta, also not to forget having their Lager which they brew, it’s amazing, the service was top notch. Going to be coming here again soon.
Came here for the first time for dinner and definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The staff were super friendly and so kind! The food took a while to come out, but was tasty and fresh!! I would like to note that their menu is very limited and only contains pizza and pasta! However, they have lots of cocktails! Definitely an amazing vibe and would come back for drinks.
Unreal! Absolutely fantastic pizza and drinks and great value too. Amazing music as well and the interior has a nice vibe. Highly recommend trying their Spaghett cocktail, really good.
Really great mushroom risotto balls & mushroom pizza. Didn’t love the bruschetta. The interior was SO cute - great date spot
The ambiance of this place speaks for itself. Trees with twinkle lights, hanging eucalyptus plants, real candles all around the restaurant, large , arcade games, TV screens (for game night) and the dj playing music truly adds to the experience. The good: Ambiance, Service & Bread & Butter Starter which was super delicious. I could have just enjoyed that as the main with the dipping sauce. All items served were fresh. The Ok: Surprisingly the food, the Microdose Pizza was alright. There was more arugula than any other topping on the pizza which made it good enough to eat but nothing to rave about.Casablanca Pizza was alright. The not so good: the music was very loud which prevented us from being able to speak to each other.
Bar Poet is so fun! The atmosphere is amazing. The decorations are really nice. I liked the trees and lights. The staff was very friendly. Very busy for a Tuesday night. Making reservations is probably a good idea. I got the Purple Rain Cocktail and the Three Little Pigs Pizza. They were so delicious! I need to go back and try the other items. A great place to have a few drinks and catch up with friends. Good music and good vibes all around. Cheers!
We had a great experience here! We found the drinks to be both very fun and also very tasty. For drinks we ordered Purple Rain, Last Port in the Storm, Paper Plane, and Old Fashioned. All four drinks were amazing and well done. For main dish we got the Casablanca pizza, which was delicious. And we also ordered the Arancini as snack later on. We enjoyed every single dish and were highly pleased. However, if you don't do well with spice, then maybe ask your waiter for their recommendation. Overall, I definitely will come back as both the food and the environment were great!
How do I start? After 3 years of living in Canada, I visited this 'BAR' yesterday and I had the worst experience in a Bar ever since. I have been working in customer service for the past 15 years and had visited many countries on four different continents and never felt so disrespected and discriminated against in my life. We had a reservation to celebrate our anniversary, we were aware of the limited 2h stay and we were okay with it this time frame at the dining table, after eating we thought it would be great to stay longer for drinks. Even though the bar is a walk-in after 9 PM and it was about 9:30 PM we notice a space at the bar area and we decided to ASK BEFORE MOVING our waiter if it was okay to move, she checked with her 'manager' and she said it was okay. About 5 minutes after we moved one of the two staff at the bar came to us and said we could not move from the table to the bar, we argued that we had asked before moving and because it was a first-come, first-serve base after 9 PM we should be allowed to stay, again he went to check with the same 'manager' that told him we could stay for a limited time of about 40 minutes. We again said that nobody had told this us before when suddenly his bud, which seemed to be a white racist tall kind of style, came to ask us to leave again and we asked him to call his manager. To our surprise the manager came saying we had disrespected her team and we should leave, of course, they probably had done this with many other customers because we never disrespected them, we made clear our point and stand for our right to stay, we don't feel that going out on a Friday night and staying in a 'BAR' (not a restaurant) from 7:30 to 9:30 is enough and we could leave to a different bar if they said right in the beginning that we could not sit on the bar. On their last move, we felt completely unsafe, discriminated against, and harassed not to say worst. The 'manager' arranged 3/4 people of her 'crew' or I could say, 'gang', and they all came and blocked out ways, in the meantime the bar guy took our drinks and they escorted us out of the bar in a stressful and traumatic situation for some of us. The 'manager' never tried to engage in a respectful conversation and showed a clear signal of an untrained person. Our waitress was very nice and did apologize during the whole situation but it was clear that she couldn't say anything because her 'manager' has no management skills. The tall guy from the bar and the manager should not be working in the hospitality sector if they can't have empathy for their customers. We ended up looking to report this in a police station but turns out they can do whatever they want in a private space, they probably know that and that is why they act like this but I do believe someday in the future they will face a young lawyer that will make it happen. Never going back to this place again and I hope this gets to the owner or representatives so can do something about it.
Probably the nicest bar in Toronto. The trees and lights make for a very cozy atmosphere. They also have a few arcade games by the washrooms downstairs. It was packed on Sunday so make sure to make a reservation a day or two before if you're planning to go on the weekend. What I didn't like were the super loud music that made it hard to talk to my friends and the fact that you can only stay for 2 hours.
