Bar was understaffed. Bartenders did the best they could do but they saw us every 45min or so.Ordered food and it took over an hour to arrive.Would not recommend if you need a second drink or food.Good intentions by servers. Need more staff.
Wasn’t quite sure about this place but as soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiles and a shot of Blackbird. Highly recommendThe staff was friendly and hilarious. Making me and my date laugh all night. Then the fried chicken came and omg. I think I did too.Food is savoury. Atmosphere is fun and staff is so hip they make you feel like a regular.5 stars. Can’t wait to come back
Stumbled upon this place while looking for a bar to hit nearby.So glad we did. A bit of a smaller establishment, but still had a good vibe. The staff (Pat and Martin) were great.Menu was simple but had good options. The newest drink on their menu was not that great, could lose the “on the rocks” part of it but the other drinks were delicious. Try the black bird shot!One thing I didn’t like about this place (also why I deducted a star) is that they had poor ventilation. As the kitchen is out in the common dining area, the oil and smoke permeates through the entire place. My eyes were stinging a good portion of the night when the cook was making food. And when I got home, all my clothes reeked of oil smell I had to air them out. Worst part? My phone case soaked up the oil stench too, still smells like oil even after soaking it into soapy water. Had to order a new one.Advice to management is invest in better ventilation.
We just happened to walk into Bar Fancy after a Candlelight concert at Longboat Hall, it's a quiet and non-descript place but they had Fried Chicken on the menu, fryers right there for you to see while they cooked, and it was amazing! The chicken, the sprouts, the nachos, hushpuppies...it was all great, and we have eaten a lot of fried chicken right from the best in the south even...but this was right up at the top of our list, moist but not greasy which is tough to do!
Cool spot, food and drinks were really solid (fried chicken is amazing) but no one in our group was asked for any proof of vaccine, and the staff were doing a pretty poor job of keeping masks on while taking orders or behind the bar. From what I could tell no one coming in was asked to show proof of vaccine either.
The food is actually amazing and the staff are great. It's not cheap but it was truly the best chicken burger I've ever had. Also, their list of tequila is top notch
Cute place to enjoy great drinks, fried chicken, hot sauce and a HOT server named Patric! Ask for him you won't regret it...
always a great experience. it use to be a hidden gem with a back entrance. but covid allowed them to have a patio. now it has double the seating space. servers are always friendly and the fried chicken is to die for
Loved the chicken but the music was amazing! Will be visiting again.
The fried chicken is good but is not fantastic. Service was mediocre. I feel like the pandemic has resulted in lower quality of food and service.I enjoyed Cluck Clucks friend chicken a bit more.
