Portions were ridiculously small especially for the price they are charging and food was just below average. Other Persian restaurants in North York or Darbar would offer double the portions plus no starter like bread and walnuts were offered especially for the price they are charging. This restaurant seems to cater for the non middle eastern who are not familiar with the typical portion sizes and hospitality. I literally left the restaurant so hungry and that’s never happened when I have gone to a Persian restaurant

Loved the food here but most of all their cocktails. We were a group of 6 and this was our first time trying Banu. We all ordered a different cocktail and my favourite was one with saffron and mezcal in it. I will def be back.

Awesome food, super friendly staff, and a pleasant ambience. I ordered the Grilled Saffron Chicken (Joujeh Kabob) which was so juicy and delicious. Even though finding a parking spot might be a bit challenging, I definitely recommend Banu to anyone who is interested in Persian cuisine.

I forgot to take photos of the food because it was sooo good. Make sure you get their koobideh and pomegranate beef. It is not as big as other Iranian restaurants koobideh BUT there is no filler in their meat and you can tell. I have eaten at many Persian restaurants all over the world and this is one of, if not the best I have ever had. Also, their cocktails were very very good and inventive. This is the only review I ever write for any place so that should tell you much. I also had a nice chat with the owners. The brother was the chef and sister was running the show in the front. Very nice people. I recommend very much. I can't remember the name of the cocktail I had but it had saffron and mezcal in it and it was just delightful.

I love this place so much and have been coming here for 15 years. I came back for the first time since the pandemic and saw they had added a little market to the place and it was great. I highly recommend spending sometime checking out the items after you eat. Also, hot tip, order the Silk Road cocktail it has saffron and mezcal in it and is to die for.

Very pleasant and welcoming ambiance and service. Best Persian food I have eaten in Toronto. Meat dishes were flavourful and grilled as ordered. Fluffiest rice I have ever eaten and the mixed drinks were spot on. I will certainly return. I highly recommend Banu.

SUPER HYPED & OVERPRICED for nothing exotic. The food portion is tiny, didn’t look appetizing, and tastes way below average for the price. Absolute rip-off and seriously 4-star rating already ??? Where are the standards, guys? Very disappointed. I wish at some point and time, Torontonians become realistic and conscious with their reviews.

Best Persian restaurant in town. Ambiance was excellent on the new patio by Gripblock. Service was excellent despite being very busy

Normally we would have dined in at Banu but due to the pandemic we ordered in (take out) for my husband's birthday dinner and it was perfect!!!!I was able to place the order in advance and delivery was exactly on time....We basically ordered just about every dish on the menu and each item was superb. Best meal we have had in a long time.Thank you Banu!!!! Can't wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow.

Banu is a great special occasion spot. The Fam Jam is a great way to go for feeding a group of four. Their kubideh/koobideh kabob was spot on, as were the tenderloin and jujeh. Sabzi plate was fresh with lots of nice mint. Of course we will eat the sabzi! We know it's not a garnish, haha.
