I liked the food but the service and the ambience could be improved. We had an inattentive server and waited over 40 minutes to get our food. The electricity went out 4 times during our meal and each time the AC would turn off, making it very hot and stuffy in the restaurant.
The food was terrible. The lamb beryani lacked flavour and texture. The rice was a bit mushy. Chicken korma curry was also not any better. You can taste the texture of the spices in the sauce, not emulsified well. The flavour wasn’t strong.Semosa was greasy and the stuffing wasn’t well seasonedOverall this place is very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it at all
Great Indian food! Service was excellent too. We ordered butter chicken, lamb, basmati rice & mushroom soup. The soup was delicious as was everything we had! Banjara has to be one of the BEST Indian restaurants in TO!
Loved all the 3 curries we got!Had lamb roganjosh, palak paneer, chicken madras. It’s the first time that I taste sweet in palak paneer which is interesting. Would prefer if it’s less sweet but the flavour was good! Really liked madras! Creamy and flavourful. The lamb was the spiciest one out of all (we had medium for all the curries)The naans were so good and soft! Probably the softest I ever had
My fav food I’ve ever tried! Specifically the chicken vindaloo!!!
Best Indian food in Toronto
This restaurant has been around for years and the food continues to be consistently great. The staff were attentive and helpful. The food is well spiced (you can choose- we picked medium). They have a varied menu with lots to choose from. The food came out quickly and was fresh. Clean, bright and welcoming, it’s the perfect spot for a weekend lunch. The prices are reasonable too. Parking is convenient and it’s an easy walk from Christie Station.
Excellent food quality and quantity. Myself being an Indian, I absolutely enjoyed the experience. Must visit restaurant for sure. Try different Thalis. They are the best.
Ordered butter chicken from this place after looking at their overall rating as well as reviews for butter chicken. It turned out to be one of the WORST BUTTER CHICKEN'S that I ever hadNo flavor. Chicken pieces were not cooked in the tandoor. I strongly suspect that, the reviews which say the butter chicken is amazing, are fake (paid reviews or reviews given by friends and family) I should have decided not to order after seeing some other reviews which also mentioned that this place is horrible
Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants out there. Absolutely loved the Butter Chicken and Garlic naan. Never thought the size of the naan would be that but still managed to finish it coz that’s how good it was. The chicken biryani was amazing too. Loved the mango lassi.Overall a great experience!
