Ended up trying a variety of things and overall reactions were mixed. The highlight and star of the show was definitely the Fried chicken baos which were nice and crispy. Kimchi fries were pretty good. The tacos are just okay to me, especially considering the tofu i expected to be more fried rather than it being soggy and had lemon grass as the primary flavoring. What really disappointed me was the kalbi banhmi. The bread was very soggy and unappealing. It lacked the firm and crunchyness of a freshly made banhmi bun. The Kalbi was also well over cooked and ended up being pretty chewy and dry depending on the size of the chunk.
My cousin recommended me to try the kimchi fries - and they're really good! The pork is flavourful, and the kimchi balances the whole dish.I also ordered the banh mi with beef, which was okay - think there's something missing in there.Dishes are about under $10, so pretty affordable. Would recommend to try!
I got pork and chicken Banh Mi. It was ok but I wish they put more fresh vegetables.
Delicious place! Affordable, not super busy, and delicious food. Will definitely come back.
We tried the kimchi fries and pork belly banh mi and bao. The kimchi fries had pulled pork that was flavorful but it did not work well with the fries and kimchi. Basically the kimchi fries tasted awful. The banh mi and bao were bland. For the price of a banh mi here ($7-8), you're better off going to Chinatown for banh mi half the price that taste much better.
Ordered on Uber food was tasty, very enjoyable and new things but after ate bf and I immediately got a stomachache, we didn’t eat anything else, probably the spice or we had new that kind of food so.Any way it’s good for try Bao !!!!
4 stars for the food quality. Really tasty food with really good attention to flavour and complementing ingredients. The staff that takes orders isn't especially friendly—the only thing preventing a five star rating.
Who doesn't love Banh Mi Boys? Best tasting fusion tacos, baos and banh mis in town!! Can never get enough!! Don't forget kimchi fries!!!
The chicken bao was okay but the kimchi fries was awful! Since the prices are low I didn’t expect anything special but I had much better meals with the same price!
