I always enjoy all of the Balzac locations. They are set up with a great atmosphere and this location is no different. Whether you sit inside the historical building or outside and enjoy the sun, it's a great place to enjoy a coffee. I got a cortado and it was alright. I find the Balzac coffee to be slightly darker of a roast than I like for espresso and so it tasted quite bitter and over extracted. Not bad but nothing worth getting excited over either. Overall worth coming to sit and enjoy the atmosphere and have a nicer conversation.
A little coffee shop with tons of character! A favourite spot in the distillery district. The second floor is quite charming and overlooks the first floor. A wonderfully cozy place to relax with a hot drink.
The food and drinks were great. The ambiance in the seating area was really gentle, clean and relaxing. There is the option of getting drinks in a porcelain cup if you plan to sit inside rather than a paper to go cup, which added to the atmosphere. It is definitely a great place to stop by.I do want to make note that of my experience on Tuesday February 22, 2022 at around 3:04PM. I visited with my partner, proceeded to order drinks and bakery items for the both of us and the worker that took the order was immediately and continuously condescending. They first began to state that this was not a Starbucks after I wanted to order a cappuccino for my partner. While they may perhaps wanted to educate me on the difference, the fact that that was their immediate reaction and used a condescending tone, was very unwelcoming. I followed by ordering a drink for myself, and pastry items for my partner and I. Upon including a second bakery item in my order, the employee taking my order repeated it back to me while sounding absolutely appalled that I wanted two bakery items. Perhaps they did not realize I was ordering for two people, but regardless of that it would be none of their business to judge how much food I would have wanted to consume for myself.
It’s the place that started it all for me; my love for cool coffee shops. Visited here for the first time back in 2013, and been back a couple times since then (it’s a bit out of the way for me). The architecture is cool, the lattes always excellent, and the upstairs seating area is gorgeous.
A beautiful cafe with exposed brick walls and a gargantuous 2 floor sprawl - allowing for people who wish to stay longer to enjoy the upstairs area with seating that is somewhat removed from the hustle of the downstairs area. A perfect place to get delicious coffee to-go or to study for a couple hours upstairs! With desserts, teas, and all the 1st-world-coffee-enthusiates "needs" tailored to, this is a must visit cafe!
Interesting cafe, old fashion style, french style. There were different delicious types of coffee and tea, also tasty cookes. And there were some souvenir - cups, coffe and str.The cafe is located in old parts of downtown, near nice area and staff were very inteligent and friendly. You can take away coffe and then go to the lake. Recomend... Хорошее кафе со старым французким стилем. Разнообразные виды кофе и чая, вкусные пирожные. Отличное место для кофе брейка. Рекомендую...
Amazing mocha and I love the interior. Staff are friendly and quick.
Love their hot chocolate!
