Highly recommend for DELICIOUS Portuguese food & fantastic backyard patio experience. I recommend the fish fillet or cod fish. Big portion and SO GOOD the fish literally melts in your mouth (despite the fact they brought tartar sauce for my fish fillet… as a Portuguese Canadian that’s funny lol). The white sangria was delicious and the atmosphere is fun and great vibes. I’ve been here 5 times now and will definitely come back.

Came here for a veterans lunch, after the Portugal day parade. I couldn't believe the horrible service, waited there for half an hour at the table. When we asked the server if we could at least have the complimentary bread she replied " when I have time..." we also had to ask repeatedly for glasses for our drinks. It doesn't stop there...The caldo verde tasted like there was too much flour, the salad had barely any dressing, and the chicken platter that was provided was barely enough for our group of 5 people. There was supposed to be a side of rice and potatoes, but we only got the rice which wasn't even full. To top it off, we weren't even done yet and the server took away the rest of the rice dish without asking if we were done.At the end of the meal the server came around with a tray of only 4 espressos for our table of 5. When we asked if we could have another coffee she said "sure" but that coffee never came. Truly disappointed as we've been here plenty of times before and never had any issues. Sadly this one experience has ruined Bairrada for us.

We went today on mother's day we wanted to have a good family time and have the usual good meat this place make, the last time I visited Bairrada was more than 5 years ago things seems to have changed, Even though the beef was okay it was only served with potatoes chips and gravy I was expecting for a 25cad dollars meal to have at least 1 side of vegtables. I was very dissapointed when I saw the bill I was forced to pay 15% of tips, I would not mind to even pay 20% however a business CANNOT force you to pay any tips on the bill, this is something the server earn it and customers pay what they can or consider according to the service received. Second of all our server was very rude to us, she did not.even say happy mothers day or even show a single smile, never built rapport I asked them why and they mentioned is shown on the bill because the amount was high...it still does not make any sense, I will never go back to this place again and will report to Ontario customer rights support right away

Didn't eat off the menu, as went there for a planned event, but we had some delicious salads, potatoes, chicken beef and fish plates! It was all incredibly delicious, and typical Portuguese fare! Overall, the atmosphere, the service, and the tasty food makes this a great local place you should consider checking out if you're in the area!

The food here (especially the Portuguese chicken) is always great. The service is always friendly and attentive. One of my favourite Portuguese restaurants in the city. Will be back soon!

One of my all time favourite places to go and celebrate living. Our man Jerry in the photo definitely knows how to take care of his customers.

So, this is the first time I have ever given Bairrada such a low score. We hadn't been there in nearly 2 years and it's not the same. The menu has shrunk considerably and the prices have increased significantly. Probably a couple of the factors that led the restaurant to not be at even the allotted 50% capacity. Oh, BTW, the restaurant was cold. People were eating with their winter coats on! Now for the food. I had the Caldo Verde soup and if it had been hot, it would have been the item that we ate. My wife's Grilled Sea Bass was pretty small compared to other times. Even for a light eater, it wasn't enough even with the usual sides of broccoli and boiled potato. And she said it tasted ... "fishy". I had the house steak. Medium rare which they got right but, the fried egg on top was grossly over fried. The house made chips were also over fried and the sauce just okay. The big criticism of it all, was that it was all cold! My wife had a half liter or the house Chardonnay and I had a pint of not so cold Heineken. The availability beer was also an issue. So, it came to $90.00 before tip. A good 20% higher than our previous usual for 2. Bottom line is that we will not eat there in the winter. We are waiting for patio weather and perhaps the easing of restrictions to see if the menu size increases. If there is no improvement, it is the end of a 20 plus year love affair that we had with this restaurant. We can no longer endorse it as we have for so long. We even had our 30th anniversary there, 10 years ago.

Had a delicious Portuguese dinner. Highly recommend the potatoes and pork. Friendly staff as well.

Went there for dinner on a Saturday night, we got a table in a minute. They served us some delicious bread with butter. We ordered grilled calamari and veal with mushrooms. Everything was amazing except for the rice, it wasn’t fresh.Great place with a variety of options and huge platters ??
