Place is very homey, and cozy! Staff is wonderful, in particular Mary, she was such a pleasure to interact with! The food is very unique, a sushi with a special touch. If you want to try something new, I will highly recommend this place. Personal favourite was the Crispy Kale on top Tempura Roll. Had an amazing time here!
I want to give this place a 5, but it should be a 4.5. The food is excellent with a latin take on sushi. It is also a small family run business. The all you can eat is $45. The salmon ceviche and carpaccio are a must try. Best rolls was the strawberry jam or the one with plantain.Be careful however as they are extremely strict with leaving any pieces on the table, and will charge you the $1.25 even for small piece.
Not sure if the only two waitstaff were new but the restaurant was half full and service was very slow. After 15 minutes of waiting on 2 tempura apps aside from a party tray, I asked how far long our order was and they hadn't begun, despite the 2 apps being very small (and served in one small bowl). We asked for water 3 times and finally got it after food was served. Happy they at least served items from the tray separately. Food was standard but delicious. I'm glad I didn't dine in for ayce that day.
Honestly I wasn't expecting how filling the food was and the service was so amazing. The girl there was so sweet. The food is definitely worth your money for the price. Definitely a recommendation as far as sushi restaurants
My first time trying Brazilian sushi at Atlantico Sushi. What makes it Brazilian sushi? Their rolls are a fusion style with unique ingredients and types of rolls. Lots of deep fried options and rolls filled with cream cheese. Delicious food and a friendly waitress taking our order. The restaurant uses a robot to deliver the food to your table. Make sure you dont order too much food, otherwise you'll be charged $1.50 per piece that isn't eaten.
I loved the fact that when you walk in, there is a natural light element to the place. Have you ever tried sushi with plantain? This is definitely the spot for you to try. It was my favourite pick on the menu.I loved every bit of my stay there.
The food took too long and the restaurant was not even with half capacity. But the food is amazing!
The food is amazing and the caipirinha was delightful.
The 4 pieces of sushi in this picture cost me $51.Let that sink in...Were they delicious? No.Do they have gold in them? NopeDoes cream cheese make up 50% of the fillings? Oddly, yes...These 4 beauties (which were discarded, as the salmon did not taste fresh at all) were the penalty of an all-you-can eat meal at this place. Now, as you can tell from pictures of the menu that have been so blatantly posted on Google by others, there is a 'Penault for uneaten $1.50 per piece' (their exact writing) and yet, when we could not finish these pieces, we were charged the original price for them ($12.90 each). Nowhere on their menu did it state this rule. When we stated that we could not finish these pieces, the server explained we would be charged but as we had read the 'penault' already (the only one on the menu), we were fine with it. Boy, oh boy were we floored when that $51 was strapped on. Had we known beforehand that each piece was going to cost the original price, we would understand. However, if it is not written anywhere, and the only rule is that $1.50 one, then that rule applies to all uneaten items. Please rest assured that this will be reported to the Better Business Bureau.OH! Almost forgot to mention, the WAIT. If you are practicing mindfulness or meditation, this is the place to go practice patience and letting go. Bring a good book while you wait as you just might finish it before getting all of your ordered items. Our meal took 3.5 hours in it's entirety and 75% of that was waiting. It almost felt like they wanted to wait us out and have us receive only 2 items before giving up on the AYCE. Close the place for an hour or so if most of the staff are on break if that was the issue. Don't have 2 servers run around trying to do it all while your patrons get a sense of what Hell's Kitchen is like. There is a robot that delivers food every now and again which seems cute at first until you notice how inefficient it is. If a human is taking the order, serving the food, picking up plates, and handing the bill, the robot is pretty redundant and there for novelty's sake. We even saw it napping! There are plenty of other sushi joints on St.Clair West if you want great service and quality food. Please go visit them.UPDATE for the reply to the owner:Adjust your menus accordingly to include proper penalties. If a clause is per page, say it. To be given a menu and told, everything in here is part of the AYCE is implied that the only penalty stated in the menu is for everything in that menu unless stated otherwise. Every other AYCE will say that the regular price for item will be charged if not eaten. Simply follow that rule.Let me break down the cost of this meal as the owner is implying that I took more home and was trying to con something up:$12.90 x 4 is $51.60 (if the picture shown does not appear worth it, it's because it is not. That's on you, not me)I paid this (even though again, the menu does not states this penalty) on top of the AYCE (which was $39.99+tax per person) and still I left a $10 tip as the servers were working with what they had.I am ok with paying, I just want to know the rules beforehand.I am not scamming anyone. I didn't cause a scene or demand things to be taken off.I am warning others who are curious of what they are in for. I am not looking for monetary compensation when reaching out to the BBb, but adjustments to your establishment are required.
If you're looking for a "brazilian style sushi" this is your place! Food is good, service is nice, "Bella" the cat-robot is really cute! You may also try a few Brazilian fryed snacks, wich was really tasty Decoration is kinda simple, not fancy or extraordinary. Music was a bit too loud. Price is OK though.
