I had heard many great things about Athens pre-pandemic lockdown, unfortunately I didn't make it before everything closed down. I was told that when you go in you have a great selection of daily specials that change each day. I was disappointed that I didn't make it but when I found them on Uber Eats or Skip The Dishes (hard to remember which one) I had to order. We ordered the souvlaki family meal deal and the price was fair. Both the chicken and pork were well cooked and tasted great. The rice was well seasoned and I could have eaten double. I wasn't the biggest fan of the potatoes but I rarely am unless they're fried. My one complaint is the food wasn't as hot as I'd like but that's because it was a long drive to get to us. I recommend going on because it's a 100 times better.I finally got to go and sit down for a nice meal and wow! It's a small family run restaurant and it really shows when you're interacting with the staff. Everyone was friendly and the owner really seems like he wants to get to know you (I'm assuming he was the owner). When sitting in we ordered everything from the daily special menu and it was all great. Every dish was authentic Greek. The stuffed peppers were some of the best I've tried. The moussaka was as good as mom's (how she never read this), I wanted seconds but I was getting stuffed. My favorite was the filo wrapped lamb, which is difficult and time consuming to make. The lamb was juicy and tender, the vegetables were fresh, the cheese perfectly melted and the filo was flaky. When you go to Athens skip the same old souvlaki and eat the real home made Greek food. Check out the specials menu. You will not be disappointed. I'm going back until I've tried everything on their menu.

Great cosy place in a prime Greek town location, with a family-run restaurant vibe. Very friendly staff and superb food-to-table delivery after we ordered our food. We had a sampler platter, which was very good and consisted of; hummus, cheese and fish roe. The octopus was sublime and hands down the highlight of the evening. We also ordered the moussaka, cod and the love boat (sizzling chicken, cheese and eggplant). I must say not a single food item was left by the end of the evening and every dish we ordered was great! I would recommend for authentic Greek taste and really must compliment the great food, service and ambience they create and manage, good job!

Fantastic Greek restaurant ! Was highly recommend this place by friends ! Great atmosphere! Very friendly staff & excellent customer service. We tried the appetizers Calamari, grilled octopus, pita bread with assorted sauces (spicy cheese, eggplant hummus, tzatziki) & chicken soup w fresh lemon and the Flaming Cheese (Saganaki). Their souvlaki meats were juicy and very tender. Food was excellent! Will definitely visit again & recommend to family & friends!

Awesome Greek, super fun as well!

We just had a wonderful meal at Athens Restaurant on Danforth in Toronto. Fantastic food and the friendliest service I've experienced in quite some time. What a great end to our Toronto get-away.

My friend and I met the day chef while I was on vacation. He is so friendly and such a beautiful smile. My friend and I went next evening for supper (not knowing he was day chef and not evening). We were disappointed not to see him but let me tell you that everyone else made us feel like royalty and family. The waiter, such a handsome man. He served us like if we were superstars. The service was nothing but amazing, enjoyable and relaxing. The food!!! OMG!! Authentic Greek food to its finest. And the portions - I had enough to bring to my room a second supper!! The flavours - so refreshing. I had the chicken souvlaki diner and my friend had the farmers lamb. She kept making yum sounds while eating and I did what I always do when I love my food. I dance a little at my chair - not noticeable to public. Lol I live 8 hours from Toronto but anytime I will be visiting my friend, this place has become a must for us to go to. Cant wait to go back!! Hopefully I’ll see day chef (never got his name) Xxoo

Small place, cute inside. Was very busy. The owner was very friendly. Big portions. Good service. The food tasted good.

Everything we ate was fantastic, especially the lamb and artichoke dish the server suggested for us. The Greek coffee was great and the house wine went down easy. Even though it was busy the staff still chatted with us and made it feel like home. Thank you!

Definitely the best Greek food in Toronto, at great prices. I have lived in Greektown for 32 years! Just make a resi and go!

No better place to go to in the GTA!Food is always specially prepared. Home cooked meals...no fluff ...I swear they have some Yiayias in that kitchen!
