Amal provides an absolutely outstanding restaurant experience! One of the best in Toronto. From the food to the ambiance , from when you first walk in to when you leave, the service and atmosphere is nothing short of bliss. You’ll find the delightful Mediterranean interior & decor to be a surprise when dining at night. It’s warm and comforting, complimented by top tier service. I have visited this location on multiple occasions and cannot wait to go again. Please be open to trying all food items as your mouth will thank you later. Parking is tight in the area and there is an elevator. It’s located conveniently on Bloor st minutes to subway and bus access.
Amazing interior design, very friendly vibe. The service was relatively quick but at peak times, we waited a bit longer. The menu was priced very fairly for the main food although cocktails were overpriced. Meat quality and desserts were amazingly, they could probably work more on their appetizers, they were not up to the quality of the rest of the menu. Unground paid parking and coat check was available.
We went there for brunch to celebrate my son’s birthday day. The place was very nice and beautifully decorated. You get the calm feeling from teal blue Colour and beautiful mosaic . The food was amazing and the service was excellent. One small hick up in our order but they quickly fix it and did not charge us for that meal. This shows that they care about customer satisfaction. Will definitely go back and try their lunch or dinner menu . Keep up the good work .
Great food and a beautiful spot.Located on a second floor, you might not find this spot unless you’re looking for it, but once you do find it, you’ll be greeted by a big and beautiful, airy restaurant with friendly staff. While the prices are steep for Lebanese food, you’re getting refined dishes to go along with great cocktails. We got a couple of platters and a wrap and I would definitely pick the platter over the wrap. The platters come with pita, the smoothest hummus you’ll ever eat, pickles, veg and your choice of fries or rice. The meat is cooked well and is nice and moist. The wraps also come with pickles and rice or fries, but the portion is definitely smaller and while tasty, were a little on the dry side.I don’t know how busy this place can get, but it can seat a lot and there are some private dining areas I’d you have a bigger group.
The decor is 10/10 and the drinks were made in heaven! We got one which had lavender in it and tasted like heaven. The food was okay..nothing extraordinary but the pricing is a little $$$. So if you are going make sure you are ready to spend a little. It’s worth it for the vibe.. for me it was a one time for food but I’ll go back for the drinks and super sweet bartender!
Went here with a small group of friends for a birthday dinner yesterday (we were a group of 5 high schoolers). The place was beautiful, well decorated and it had good music. Unfortunately though, the customer service was quite bad, and there weren’t any photos or prices for the meals listed on the menu. We also had a table reserved for us, but when we arrived at the restaurant, they served us a different table that was very small and told us that the table we requested is for bigger groups of people,— even though the person who a llowed us to make the reservation weeks before said 5 people is enough, and the table that the waitresses were giving us was way too small. And when we finally got our proper table, the water served to us all was dirty with food particles visible in it. When we chose what we wanted to have, another waitress came around and told us that what we ordered is bland and flavourless, and recommended another dish. While we were there, the restaurant workers would constantly stare in a not so welcoming way. The food was okay, but overpriced. The photo of the food shown below came up $254 in total. That waitress finessed us, possibly because she noticed that we’re young, but either way, it worked.
If you are looking for Lebanese food and you really want to enjoy the experience in a restaurant, Amal is very good option for this. The ambiance, the dishes and the very good service makes this place one of the best. Dine, drink and enjoy.
Came here on a Saturday for lunch. The place was very well decorated, has a nice bright vibe. The food was pretty good, reasonable portions and prices, although I personally found it VERY salty. One thing I should mention though, is that it seemed like there was absolutely no capacity limit in place at the restaurant. The place was fully packed with people sitting extremely close to one another. This was when 50% limits were still in effect in Ontario. Otherwise, pleasant experience overall.
Middle eastern food at its finest. Rama Kay was certainly the star of the night along with the variety of fantastic cocktails. I absolutely loved the detailed interior with eclectic furniture cresting a cozy vibe. The flavour you will find in the food were so juicy and fresh which I find rare to find in Toronto. Easily a spot to come back to. Removing one star as the kunafeh was way below expectations and didn’t come close to the quality of everything else — quite a surprise to be honest. Other than that looking forward to returning one day!
Excellent restaurant overall. Perfect, might I add; from the food, the service, the seating, the ambience, the decor, the lighting, the music, the vibes, and the utter class of this place went above and beyond my expectations. This is officially my new favourite restaurant due to its perfection in every little detail. I have been searching for a middle eastern cuisine restaurant that meets my expectations of everything mentioned above and this place has it all. I could not find a single little minor inconvenience to complain about, and that says a lot coming from somebody who is picky and has high expectations. Special mention to my server Ali who develops a personal rapport with his customers and goes above and beyond with his serving. I will be personally asking for him to be my server next time I am in if he is available. Thank you to the staff and the chef for such an excellent, perfect experience.
