We had a great time here. The food was amazing especially the beef tartare. Wife found it spicy though. The iceberg wedge was yummy. Though the wild rice looks less than appealing for sure… it just reminds me of maggots ?Still a 5/5!!
Love the vibe in this restaurant.Aloette was recommended to me for the burger here and I’m very happy to have discovered it. There are a few other menu items worth trying as well but I saw a lot of burgers coming out of the kitchen. What I ordered:1 x Aloette Burger w/ FriesWhat I liked:Interior Design ✅ very cool interior design and restaurant layout.Service ✅ the staff here is top notch! ⭐️ x 5Bread ✅ they have this homemade bread that’s ?.Burger ✅ one of the best I’ve had in a while. It’s a solid 8.7/10If I was looking for a elevated, quality burger + fries in the downtown core, I would make this a destination!! ?
We went for dinner on a random Wednesday, made a reservation last minute and was able to secure seats at the bar. The space is pretty small, would highly recommend to make reservations in advance. Our server was amazing, he was very attentive and friendly. The food was just okay in my opinion. The burrata was delicious, but the other dishes missed the mark. The burger was a little bit heavy for my taste and the fries were overcooked. Would come back for drinks as the ambiance was nice but not for the food.
Service was amazing, the staff were so friendly, especially the gentleman at the bar. The food was alright - may have been my mistake for ordering items that were all on the heavier side. The burrata was hands down the best dish. The squash was alright, the burger was good, but I thought the fries were too oily. It’s a cute little spot with nice decor.
I’m obsessed! I’ve only had the pleasure of dining here once but that was enough to get me to book a reservation for every 2 weeks afterwards. Unfortunately, they’ve all been cancelled due to the dining restrictions in Ontario. But can’t wait to try, and support, their takeout!I was on the search for a cozy, intimate restaurant setting with high quality food at a reasonable price - Aloette is it!I came on a Friday night with 3 friends, all our drinks were amazing, as was the food and service. Best dishes of the night were the prawn tacos, crispy squash, iceberg wedge and of course the lemon meringue pie! Can’t wait to dine at Aloette again!
We got: scallops, burger, iceberg lettuce salad, sweet potatoes, octopus with sausage stuffed inside and it was a good portion for 4 people to share. Very economical in value split between 4 people as the bill came out to be about ~ 30$. However, there was something odd about the food parings ie: a lot of ginger on the scallops and it didn’t suite my personal taste well but interesting combinations which I have not tried before!
I went for dinner last weekend with my girlfriends and was not disappointed - the food and service is outstanding!!Ambiance wise it felt like I walked into a 60’s high end type bar - it was so cozy and welcoming. You have a 2 hour limit for dining as they are packed with reservations …So get to ordering fast and don’t be late to enjoy your time to the fullest. In terms of favourite dishes the fois gras, Brussels sprouts, and black cod - I am still dreaming about. All the food was phenomenal, delicious and we ordered about 6 dishes and shared tapas style between 4 of us. With 2 cocktails each and splitting the bill the cost was only $84 with a good tip you are at 118 for a beautiful night out.Go reserve and enjoy!!
My wife and 3 friends recently celebrated their birthdays here.Everyone had a great time and raved about the food & service—it’s what you’d expect from the Alo family of restaurants. Most menu items are meant to be shared. Standouts included the crispy squash, Torched Hokkaido Sea Scallop, Prawn Tacos and the potato cheese bread.Email inquiries were also very responsive and helpful.Highly recommend!
It is always an amazing experience every time I dine at Aloette. I haven't come across a restaurant in the city that matches the coziness of this place. The dining area is small but big enough to where you can eat and converse comfortably. The food is always amazing and the service is what makes the experience so memorable.Marco was a fantastic server and Sarah even remembered seeing my partner and I when we last visited a few years ago! If you have the opportunity to dine at Aloette, you won't regret it. It is my favourite spot in the city and I'll keep coming back for years to come.
This restaurant deserves 5 stars. Absolutely delicious dishes, the cocktails were amazing and the ambiance is great. I liked that it is small but very nice
