2022 April 3.5★Albert's has always been serving authentic Jamaican foods for a while. Their foods are pretty good and flavorful. Though their in house made Ginger beer is the star. It's both refreshing and spicy in a good way. With not many places serving fresh home made Ginger beer, you'll be back for this.

Got oxtail dinner for a senior had to throw it out the rice was so hard. Alberts was sooo good but when they expanded it went downhill can't complain cause when you do they don't believe you. I have been going there for years keep giving them a chance but they are the worst Jamaican food in the city now, it's not only me who says it alot of their old customers go elsewhere. Sorry Albert but had to speak the truth.

I met Albert today and had his goat for the first time. Albert has the absolutely best goat I have ever had from a restaurant (& I have had lots!) It truly is just as fabulous as beautifully home-cooked curried goat! This goat is perfectly spiced, wonderfully flavourful and gloriously tender! It is absolutely divine! If you enjoy goat, do yourself a favour and have the treat of picking up some of Albert's goat!!In addition, Albert is a true gentleman, a real prince!

Price: good for the entire jerk chicken meal under $15 sides are super cheap as wellMy experience: great packaging, I love the veggie mix that comes with the jerk chicken combo. Delicious chicken, rice and peas and coselaw. No doubt great food. Also tried the homemade ginger beer and best I've ever had ?? highly recommend!

This is been a long time favorite of mine for over the past 15 years. You can just tell they put a lot of pride into their work on everything that they offer. I love the variety of sweets and desserts that they have on top of your usual Staples.Their portion sizes are quite generous and the flavors are spot on.. definitely worth going into for your next meal I'm going to give this place five stars.

This was my first time going to Albert's and I made the mistake of going at 8:00pm because it seems as though I got the dregs of the pot. I ordered a curry chicken dinner which came with rice and peas, coleslaw and I added a roti skin. I am Jamaican and Albert, me still looking fuh deh curry in deh curry chicken. No gravy what-so-everrr!!! The chicken was tender but more like stewed chicken instead of curry chicken with NO curry flavouring at all! The coleslaw and rice were good but the roti was dry and tough. Just because I ordered my dinner later in the day doesn't mean I should be getting the scraps; especially at full price.I have add many curry chicken dinners - both at home and from Jamaicanrestaurants but I'm sorry to say, I am disappointed in Albert's. ?

I'm disappointed to have to leave this review here, but i feel like I must. I've been coming here for like 20 years. I've always enjoyed the food. I love the curry chicken roti. But recently I had a jerk chicken meal and it was probably the worst jerk chicken I've ever had. Over the last three months, I've gone to about 30 different jerk places, trying to find the best in the city (for me at least). The jerk at Albert's was absolutely not jerk. It had ZERO taste. No pepper, no spices, no salt , no smokiness, nothing. The predominant flavour was baked chicken. The texture was wrong for jerk. The rice was fine, but I was so upset, because it's not the product I expected from Albert's, which again I have loved for years. Pleaseteach your staff how to make it, and please don't cheap out on the time you need to marinate the chicken, or how long you're cooking it, or with the ingredients. I will come back in a few months, hopefully I just got a bad batch or something. Otherwise the rest of the menu is pretty good still.

The last time I was at Albert's was years ago when they just had the small storefront on St Clair. Now they have the store behind the original on Vaughan. I couldn't believe how bland the chicken roti and doubles were. Tasteless and had to add lots of hot sauce to have some flavour. Chicken Roti had chickpeas in it as well as potatoes and thats about it. Very tasteless. Will not be back. Such a shame because their food was known for quality but now just disappointing.

You can't go wrong when you go here. Their portion is huge with affordable price. Their jerk chicken definitely da bomb in this place! What I love was their rice so soft it basically melt in your mouth. The right herbs and spices not overpowering each other, a perfect dish to have when it's warm. And the chicken, just fall off the bone. Like seriously, you gotta stop by here just to challenge this review.

Chicken, rice and peas, curried veggies, all of the food was amazing! Loved it and would recommend it!
