SOOO good!! The Tuna/Mushroom pizza, Crispy rice, Show me the Roll & the Caviar were standouts. Definitely need to come back - this place has great food & amazing decor

$$$Incredible food and great service. One of the best places in Toronto for fine dining. It’s an expensive Japanese restaurant but rest assured, the experience is really worth it. I wish their portion size was bigger though as we were done with the food within minutes. Their ribeye is just so so finger licking and juicy. Lamb chops (again tiny quantity) but great taste. Wagyu fried rice were a little oily but flavorful. Even though the tacos came in late but they were crispy and the filling was great. The best dessert was the chocolate in a cup which is a very nice and moist Nutella chocolate cake

We were celebrating our 33rd anniversary, and our son recommended Akira Back to us. It was just the perfect dinner! I was in love with all the dishes we ordered, from the White Fish Carpaccio, to the Sushi and rolls, short ribs, and finally the dessert, every dish was perfectly prepared!! And special thanks to our server, she made great recommendations and made us felt special throughout the evening. My hubby said he is going back for more Tuna!

The service was very quick. We were able to get all our food within 10 minutes of ordering, each round. The food is very tasty, though some of the dishes—like the wagyu tacos and king crab fried rice—were too salty. The portions are also very small. These 6 dishes we ordered came out to $174 before tip, and I was still starving after wards. Overall, the ambiance is great and would be a nice date location. (You might want to stop by McDonald’s afterwards.)

If there were half stars, we’d probably rate Akita a 3.5, reason being that it is good, but not as good as it should be given the price and the hype. The food presentation was top notch, but the taste itself was very average and thus underwhelming. In fact, I think we’ve had better sushi at takeout or even ready-made.We also tried the ribeye, and like everything else, the presentation was good but the meat itself was underwhelming. It was chewy and tough, a very soft sear, and didn’t come with any sides. It was also oily which was unappealing. The octopus was surprisingly fried with a batter, which made it taste a bit like fried chicken. However, it was my favorite dish and the truffle potato fluff was delicious. The cocktails were disappointing and weak — my first one tasted watered down and my girlfriend’s tasted like juice. Far too expensive for what they were. The waiting staff were quite nice and attentive. They were very accommodating even when we arrived late so the service gets a 5/5.We will likely not be returning but if you want an upscale experience with mediocre food, then I would recommend it.

Incredible food. Incredible service. Fine dining at its finest. Prepare yourself to pay more then your typical Japanese restaurant however worth every dollar. Check out the Japanese whiskeys, sake and pretty much every dish in the menu was on point.

Good service and tasty food ❤️

Fantastic experience! we did share-plate styles. I don't eat seafood but still 100% enjoyed the experience & seeing the presentation of the food itself. Will 100% return for the tacos! The group enjoyed all sea food items they ordered as well!

One of my favorite spots for Japanese and Korean cuisine! Everything we had was 10/10.Crab fried rice was perfect, the back cod was amazing. The wagyu tacos are a must and the king crab was delicious! Fun rolls and signature drinks. No indoor seating at this particular time but the outdoor tent with heaters was fine.

Unbelievably fresh and delicious. To the tall Asian gentlemen who was looking after us, amazing service. Nice blend of fusion and varying tastes that’ll Impress all palates. You’ll have to try for yourself ?
