First one star i ever gave. I placed an uber eats pick up by 10:43 pm, my order was supposed 5o be ready 11:06pm, it said it closes at 12:00am. every Ethiopian restaurant stops orders at 11:00pm om Danforth. At 10:59 they cancelled my order. I was so bothered because I could have just bought elsewhere, you guys could have cancelled it way earlier atleast instead of 20 mins later. By the time I saw my cancellation everything was closed. Very disappointing.
Shiro wot and the chicken stew is amazing
0/5Based on my experience, I don’t recommend this place at all.Sunday 27 March 202221:17 food arrived2:45 payment.First time at an Ethiopian restaurant. Food was super cold. Anugida Kafto Beef was tasteless. Server didn’t care. She doesn’t know the menu. Doesn’t know the language. She would walk off in the middle of the conversation. Oh and get that, we asked to split the bill and she brought one receipt, and in the end she asked us to use our calculator so that she could insert the amount on the card machine. In addition to that, I asked a customer receipt 3 times and she pretended to not understand. Then, she asked me to take a photo because she can’t print it. I then told her the service is really bad and she showed me attitude and left.Paid 20.33 + no tips. Left the restaurant with an empty stomach and a bladder full of water.
Fantastic, well-balanced Ethiopian food. The vegetarian platter for two was delicious and generously portioned. They also have a gluten-free injera option, which I didn't try but I know might be useful for others to know.
We ordered the veggie platter for 2 with gluten free injera. It had a nice variety of dishes, all of them tasting delicious, and portioned so that we could share the platter without getting into each other's way. It was the best meal I've had in ages
The vegan dish did not have a lot of flavour to it. The beer options were very limited (domestic, no craft brews). The atmosphere was slightly shabby. I have been to better Ethiopian restaurants in this area.
Good food, friendly serever.
Large servings. Delicious lamb. Great spices. Good music.
Great tasting lamb and Ethiopian spices. Friendly service. Good music.
The freshest, fluffiest injera I've ever had! My husband and I couldn't get over how fresh the food was. It was so good that I forgot to take a photo, which rarely happens. Classy decor and a wonderful little patio, too. Thank you, Elsa. We'll be back for sure.
