Really great food and nice staff. Tried this place on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The curry cream mussels were amazing!
Went to the abbot last night with some friends and the night was terrible. We waited so long for our food! Our server seemed to be super overwhelmed with all of the tables needing service. The food was sub par when it arrived. New owners ? I know the one on eglinton is. Won’t be coming back anytime soon.
Food portion was insufficient for me last time I went. I was still hungry afterwards. Prices I think have been raised as well. Don’t know if they’re closed or open, it always looks dark and shut down. Don’t think they’re open for lunch anymore, even though they should be. Different aura to the Abbot than there used to be. Don’t know where the regular staff are. Website and menu online needs to be updated. Don’t think they serve the pate anymore and it’s still on their website
Not sure what’s going on with the Abbot on Yonge. Is it under new ownership?? Food portions are tiny. Waited forever for our food!! Pretty disappointing. Not sure if I’ll be back. Used to be a great place.
Great service. Very good food. Looking forward to easing of capacity restrictions soon.
great food, pleasant staff, nice street patio but pretty noisy on Yonge st.-not much they can do about that!
My son's favorite local, mainly due to the great staff! He took me there recently on a very hot 30C Toronto day and the cold beer on tap really hit the spot! We had Calamari and it was delicious. We had to stay for a 2nd pint as a result!

Is the food still good ? Who knows. Are they even open? Who knows.They say they are open for take away. Called a month ago and nobody picked up.Called again today (June 20th); sent directly to answering machine saying closed until ‘June 9th’. Was happy to go for a meal on the patio or order take away….but couldn’t plan on doing either.Update the web site. Update the phone message. Update the phone message daily if not prepared to answer phone calls. Do something so that customers know if you’re open for patio, patio only, take out, take out only.It is just a reflection of customer service if can’t even be bothered to tell if/what they are offering.
Best burger around! Great menu. Wonderful staff!
