Just picked up a pint of the Bourbon Eggnog, and OMG it's to die for! Go get some before Eggnog season is over!
They have vegan / dairy free options!!Didn’t love the pumpkin one but the dark chocolate truffle was so good and so was the raspberry lemonade!Staff was very nice and efficient, it was nice to get to sit outside their place too and enjoy the sun before it gets cold! Thanks for offering dairy free options and not just a fruity one! Much appreciated!
This was our first time trying Prime gelato ice-creams. We had Coconut Lime which was dairy free and vegan. As fresh the name sounds, it tasted as fresh as well. I personally enjoyed the flavors together. The other one we ordered was Bourbon Whiskey Vanilla Bean for my husband but he enjoyed the Coconut Lime more. Overall a good experience. Personally I feel the single serve cups are an amazing idea but the packaging has a very small spoon in it. From the sustainability perspective, I would have loved if the plastic spoon was given to us on request rather than packed in a cup from the manufacturer. Quality and quantity of the ice-creams are ? worth the price!
For the price = portion was not close to worth it. Taste was so so. Only benefit is its local ?♂️ When they first opened was better portions.
Treat yourself to a well balanced gelato. My personal recommendation is raspberry and lemon that is light and small amount of savoury
Its by far one of the best places to go to for gelato anywhere in the world. They have multiple options for all dietary restrictions. The staff is friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The gelato is fairly priced. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because the usually dont have waffle cones, which is something i love very much. And i understand that they are house made not store bought, i juwt wish they often had enough for everyone.
The gelatos are great, would be more great if they served with less to no racism, not all brown folks who go to your store work as skip drivers, so stop asking us if we are there for skip orders.
This is the only place I’ve ever tried gelato. So. As of right now this is the best gelato in the world! They have a bunch of delicious flavors like brown butter pecan, peanut butter fudge, and two of my favorites, double chocolate mint and snickers. Dairy free options are also available. There are no artificial colors or flavors. The sorbet they have is dairy free and apparently almost always fat free.I was able to walk in for the first time since the pandemic has started winding down. The service is friendly, and the product they sell may be more addictive than cigarettes in my opinion.I just hope you have more restraint than I do reader. Everything in moderation right? I could be a pint a day eater if I wasn't capable of feeling shame.
A great little gelateria like this is long overdue in a town with such a vibrant italian community! At Prime Gelato they used many locally sourced ingredients that lend themselves to unique flavor profiles. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the vegan options don't disappoint. Embrace the smaller servings and savor the tastes, in the best European tradition of ambling around the north end downtown. I am sure the next improvement will be a large format board or whats available... many options!
Delicious ice cream. Visiting Thunder Bay for the first time, had a waffle cone on Monday and another one on Wednesday.
