First time at a Kelsey's and I guess it's my last. Pros: Server was great- really nice, professional, helpful. Cons: Food & Drink: Beer tasted kind of sour but it was their only non-conglomerate beer on tap. Chicken Wings- Lucky it was half off wing night because that was what they were worth; dried out, old, small, the bbq sauce too sweet. Mashed potatoes I ordered as a side were just okay. Beet salad featured those over-sweet awful canned beets, a miniscule amount of near-flavourless feta cheese and some lettuce. They even forgot the dressing until I advised the server who brought some out asap. He deserves to work somewhere better. You deserve to eat somewhere better: Mike's Roadhouse, just around the corner, eclipses this place.
This was our first time with the new menu and at Thunder Bay Kelsey’s. We often go to Kelsey’s as we can count on a good meal.First of all, I would like to point out how good our waiter, Callan was! He obviously has read previous reviews as he could not have given us better service. He even offered us water, which a previous review mentioned. He showed an interest in us in a very positive and yet professional manner. He was a wonderful host, made us feel at home, with a friend but also gave us prompt and friendly service. Well done! It’s a difficult job you have and you made it look easy.We had our “usual” for comparison with our regular restaurant in Barrie ON.Adding the shrimp to the spinach dip was a welcome change. It added a special flavour and moisture to the mix. Looking forward to having that again.I liked the grilled (blackened) chicken in the balsamic chicken. It really added some flavour! The vegetables were nicely done as well.The rice with the salmon was a “touch” salty but we are not a fan of salt, so very much a personal taste thing. The salmon itself was moist and great flavour.We hope to come back in our travels and this will be a definite stop for us.Sorry the pictures are not showing the full plate, we couldn’t wait for our first taste…
Good lunch menu and a few local beers on tap. Attentive service in the lounge.
It took a while for your dinner to arrive. We were patient and waited while we saw other orders go out. I had to ask the waitress to see how much longer it would be. I would say we were going on 45-50 minutes before our food arrived. One order of wings were cold but we didn’t send back because we were hungry and didn’t want to wait any longer
1/2 price wing night plus St Paddy’s day. Great service! Great wings! Glad we made reservation on “ Open Table App”. The restaurant was full and people waiting.
Service was very slow. Arrived at 6. Drinks came promptly but food took 2 hours
FOOD WAS Fantastic as well as our Server can't remember his name but he was wonderfull and as leaving all the employees said Bye kinda of made and the lady feel like celebrities we both had a great Valentine's date.
Wrong order
A really good lunch with a friend. Sonoma salad was excellent, as was the service. The ambiance was great.
