We had the sweet potato and roasted red peper soup and we shared the Diablo sandwich and both where amazing! My fiancée Kara said the same... as a retired chef you remember these lil amazing places! And we will definitely be back....cant believe i didn't try you guys out since you opened! A must try in thunderbay!
It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The breakfast Burrito is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again.
As travellers, you end up experiencing a lot of average food, average service, average decor, or worse.... NOT HERE! Right from the start, the servers were extra friendly, and the decor was interesting. The server mentioned there was only one table left in their patio, and are we glad we bolted there pronto because it was truly an oasis, a lovely, calm, peaceful setting. We mentioned we were "coffeed out" and so he got us an iced drink, one of the tastiest, quite vibrant, and not out of a package. We had a soup and the Tuna Melt, hoping and praying we would not get a blob of fish and cheese, and our prayers were answered. The potato soup was superb, full of subtle flavours, and no big chunks of potato. The sandwich was perfect. Toasted artisan bread, filled with just enough scrumptious tuna and cheese to be satisfying, wonderfully spiced. Every detail about this little cafe is thoughtfully done and the effect is magic. My camera battery was low and the staff helped me find a place to charge it up, and that saved the day for taking pictures at our next adventure. If you visit Thunder Bay like us, or have the pleasure of living in this fab little city and don't visit Bean Fiend, you are missing out on a world-class cafe!
Loved this cafe!!! It was my boyfriend’s and I go to spot. We travelled all the way from Mississauga and it really gave us that homey feel. Will definitely come back just for this cafe alone
