Authentic and traditional Shanghai cuisine in Toronto. This is a small restaurant and they cook variety of dishes from appetizers, entrees to desserts. Tonight we are a la carte for 8 of us for family gathering. They actually have value set menu that I would like to try again for a smaller family group.
We got Steamed Soup Filled Dumpling w/ Pork, Sesame Biscuit w/ Minced Meat & Preserved Veg, Pork Jello, and Salty Sticky Rice w/ Fried Dough Stick. Their Soup Dumpling came loaded with Pork Filling and Soup was bursting out as soon as you bite into it, it was flavourful and totally a Shanghainese meal staple! Pork Jello tasted wonderful, it was actually a Cold Dish of tender Pork and Collagen rich Broth that was set into Jello form! Salty Sticky Rice was absolutely fantastic, it had crispy Fried Dough, Preserved Veg, Pork Floss wrapped with perfectly cooked Glutinous Rice, it was a childhood favourite, and this place made it so good! Sesame Biscuit w/ Minced Meat came with 4 pieces of crispy Biscuit for you to load up the Minced Meat, the flavour was BOMB but it lacked Preserved Veg…
Worst !!!!!!!! Chinese food ever if you care about your health please do not come here. The food does not look anything like the pictures. The comments on here are not real. Do not be deceived. I’m calling the Ontario health inspector to pay them a visit. I had a stomach ache. They are ripping you off
This place is amazing! They offer the true Huaiyang cuisine. Most of the dishes taste a bit sweet and never spicy. The price is also reasonable. It’s my favourite Chinese restaurant in GTA.
Urgent!!!!!!!!!!! The food was overpriced and terrible it’s fake Chinese food. They claim to be genuine but it’s all fake The pics are fake. The comments are all fake. The over priced food was served slimy and cold it taste like left overs from yesterday. It was frozen and microwaved. The owner is a con and she knows it. Please be honest with your customers God is watching you.
Tian Xin Place earned many awards.With high expectations, we went to tried most of the awards dishes . Turn out we found It's quite disappointed, dishes either with lots msg, or light tastes like diluted with water.Staff very friendly and environment is clean.Dishes portion is smal, the price charged too high.
This is the portion that they provide? See how much rice was left after eating only one pork ball and a few pieces of bok choy. I ordered a lunch special which cost me $15. The taste is good but they don't know how to make bigger profits or they really don't care if the customers will come back.
If you are looking for authenti traditional Shanghai Cuisine, this is it. Great food for the price.
