Recently visited with my family as they have a descent price and portion for the Peking duck dish and xiao long baos of course!I feel quality is food is not as unique as it used to be, but it’s still good. (I can’t even get plum sauce for the duck dish, I got some weird salad dressing sauce). What I did notice was the restaurant size has shrunk by 50%, looks like they’ve gotten rid of one unit out of the two, so I don’t think having dinner here will be a good idea since they only have about 8-10 tables with majority of them being larger ones for bigger parties. My mom is absolutely in love with their egg white and red bean dessert (高力豆沙), they make it fresh and nice here, so we’ll still definitely be coming for those but maybe for lunches only!
Tasty Shanghai food. I like the dumplings and beef noodle. Table with distancing in effect. Service is good. Will come again.
Usually very busy place. Closed dine in during Covid. Recently opened for dine in. Price keeping the same. The dishes are smaller. But still great quality.
First time here! The service was excellent and fast. We ordered # 120 Braised beef noodle soup, the broth was clean and the beef melts in your mouth. We also got # 11 a rolled onion pancake with slice beef, the skin was crispy and flavorful. We were hungry and added #3 steamed soup filled dumpling with ground pork. They were very big soup dumplings with a lot of soup. Great place for lunch, got to come back for dinner one night. You got to eat here!
Dumplings was nice and moist.. sweet corn soup with crab meat has a very fresh flavors also, spring rolls were amazing with delicious stuffing.. !! Kungpao was too salty and customer service was bit slow°
Average Chinese restaurant. We ordered fried rice, Eggplant, peanut sauce with spicy chilli oil sautéed dumplings, and Mao Xue Wang. Food quality and taste was okay, nothing special. Service was okay, they checked vaccinations and maintained clean environment.
The dish size at this one is at least 25% smaller, prices have increased. Fried dumplings have changed to a different style, now it tastes like packaged dumplings you can buy from T&T. It used to be the real deal that is longer and thinner. The location in Scarborough tastes much better.
Food was great. No service at all but had to chase us out because my uncle left the tips on the table in cash not on the machine. Not going to go back anymore and definitely not recommend to anyone who wants to be treated with respect.
I haven't eaten at the Asian Legend chain in 6 years because their menu was primarily pork and beef and I have dietary restrictions. But I was happily surprised to revisit their menu and see a whole bunch of new items added with chicken and vegetarian options. We ordered the steamed chicken dumplings, pan fried chicken dumplings, the fried rice cake noodles with pickled veggies, the slow cooked chicken noodle soup and the fried onion pancake with egg. The rice cake noodles originally came with pork but we asked them to sub it for chicken and they happily obliged. We also asked for no msg in the order and they were able to accommodate that for everything except the dumplings because the meat mixture is made beforehand (totally understandable). All the dishes were delicious! The pan fried dumplings were perfectly fried and crispy and the slow cooked chicken soup was amazing. It doesn't picture well but the broth was homey, comforting and not overly salty (I find many restaurant broths and soups tend to be overly salted). I'm so happy to see these menu updates and will cross my fingers for when they do a "soup filled chicken dumpling" aka xiao long bao but with chicken!
We just ordered 3 rice and noodle dishes with chicken and shrimp! Well, we were obviously expecting some chicken and shrimp! All we got was containers with some tasteless rice and noodle ONLY! The chicken dishes had almost NO chicken (some sparse traces), and the shrimp dish had 3-4 small shrimps! This is not our old Asian Legend! Such a drop in the quality! You lost a loyal customer.
