YUM! So tasty, and very affordable. A bit of a greasy spoon, but those are my favorites. The waitress we had was so friendly too.
Always a nice atmosphere with delicious food. The best place to come after dropping f the kids off at school and have a cup of coffee and bite to eat with a friend before heading on with the day. I’ve never had a bad meal here.
The Lancer is a little family restaurant that offers a variety of breakfast and lunch items. The one that stood out to me the most was the recovery meal which includes a Gatorade for when you’re hungover. I love that. The food was good and the portions were good but the one problem I had was the weird cheese like seasoning on the home-fries. I honestly think they would have been better without the seasoning. It doesn’t pair well and just overpowers the rest of the plate. Maybe offer it on the side or keep some on the table as an option.
Thank you guys for reaching out. It was a 3 stars because the food was amazing. It was busy because it was Father's day. However I didn't rate higher because we were there for over half hour without a drink at all and then tables who got there after us were being served their food before our order was even taken. We didn't get a refill on drinks and had been almost out of our first when our food came. Again the food was amazing and our waitress was very friendly it was just unfortunate that it is not better organized because I don't think it was intentional to give us poor service
First of all, the fries are amazing, the workers are friendly and there’s little to no noise from music or TVs so even when it’s busy it’s not overwhelmingly loud. Big pieces of bacon and good prices. Only thing I don’t like is their milkshakes aren't worth the price and the french toast is disappointingly plain.
Great place, affordable food and got that "diner" experience! Staff was very courteous and mostly attentive, probably a bit understaffed as a group of us were there and the place was very packed, the waitress forgot my friends sons milkshake, but later brought him one, its all good as stuff happens. Ill definitely be going back! :)
My husband and I decided to check this place out because it had great reviews, unfortunately we had one of the worse experiences ever. We were seated, and left unattended. Another couple was seated after us and the waitress came over to them first and took their order, brought their coffees and never bothered with us. Many of the waitresses saw us at an empty table not even with a menu and contuined to serve other guests. After about 10 minutes I decided enough was enough. I couldn't help but feel that because we were a couple of colour and not Caucasian that no one bothered to serve us. This is by far one of the worse feelings anyone can go through, especially in this day and age when we live in such a multicultural world. The manager apologized when I confronted him of how we felt but by that time it was too late. It's very disappointing.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Ordered eggs Benedict and my food was COLD. I love eggs Benedict and was super excited to try it here, but the fact that they served me cold food ruined this place for me. The staff didn’t seem to pay attention to the customers and were too busy discussing tips. Will not be eating here again. Sunset restaurant downtown is MUCH better.
This place has definitely changed over the last few years , an for the worst .I asked to get switched to a full booth 30 seconds after we were seated in a half booth/ half chair table . We were looked at like it was the end of the world . We legit just sat down when I asked for the switch .After the switch We were forgotten about for awhile . I seen people get served before us that came in after us .Throughout my whole breakfast We never got asked for a top up on our drinks. This place was the place to be years ago ,now it’s a place I don’t want to go back to. Reading some of these reviews it doesn’t seem like I’m the only one .
Just ordered from here through Door Dash. By far the most disgusting breakfast I have ever seen. I don't know why they cut up their nasty bacon, but it appears as if they are leftovers from other people's breakfasts. Their hollandaise sauce tastes like nothing and potatoes are stale. Not to mention how tiny the portion is, or the poor presentation. I'm furious.
