I really liked my Combo #2 dinner from Red Chopstix on Pelham Road. I phoned my order in and it was ready for pick up in less than 15 minutes. My meal included sweet and sour chicken balls, chow mein, chicken fried rice, egg roll and a fortune cookie. It’s a very generously sized meal, with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch. Everything was hot and tasted fresh. Great value for under ten dollars.
Best Chinese takeout in town. Super fresh and delicious. The staff are awesome, too. I love their Red Chopstix rolls and their honey garlic spare ribs are one of my favourite dishes, though I've yet to find one thing on the menu I haven't liked yet.I miss the lunch special. I'd be so full after my general chicken.
Portions are really generous & price was extremely reasonable but the food was just not what I was expecting. The orange beef sauce was good but the beef slices were coated in some rubbery white paste & had no flavour, the S&S chicken balls had a great sauce but were 90% breading with a teeny tiny chunk of chicken in the middle. The honey garlic spare ribs were good but one out of 3 was not encouraging for a return visit sadly.
I tried red chopstick first time tonight … It’s was so cheap for our dinner for 2 I was wondering is if it would be good? … it was great can’t believe how much food we got and it was delicious!!!!
Hit or miss...I've had good food from here before...But last night we had S&S Chicken balls (hard as a rock)S&S Shrimp (hard breading and the smallest shrimp inside. Shrimp was dry and tastless)Honey garlic Chicken wings (Big wings but tasted off )Chicken fried rice (hard little piecedof rice mixed in very little chicken (I think they added the old rice to the new )Egg rolls were deep fried way to long (hard as a rock )Won't be getting it from there again...
I have never done a review for a restaurant before. We have kids so we don’t get out much. I discovered this restaurant just googling “St Catharines Chinese” and I am never going to back to the other places that are awful compared to Red Chopsticks! Everything was delicious and so fresh! I was really pleasantly surprised. I recommend this place for a great takeout dinner! We will be back
The food was ok...boiled meat is not good vegetables were ok. Twist sweet and sour were awful. Very disappointed!! Won't be back!
Don't let looks deceive you. This place is my favorite quick and inexpensive Chinese restaurant in St. Catharines and has friendly, outgoing service. I recommend the General Tao ?
Near to home, so thought we'd read the reviews and try it. It wasamazing. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent value and ready in ten minutes from calling in our order.
This was our first time trying this place. Our usual Chinese place just wasn’t as good as it used to be so we wanted to try something new. I am so glad we tried this place! The food was delicious and reasonably priced! We had 10 dishes for $50! Dinner for 3 plus an extra dish on the side. Lemon chicken was a huge hit! Also loved the beef with green pepper and mushroom. We will definitely be ordering again!!
