We did the buffet for two people and it was one of the worst, if not the worst buffet we’ve tried. Everything on the buffet was cold, mushy and without flavour. Extremely disappointed with everything. Will not be returning - save your money and go anywhere else. It cost $58 for two people and unfortunately we weren’t there for longer than 30 minutes.
The Emerald Buffet is probably the best priced Chinese Buffet in the Niagara region. The selection is also pretty big, for being a smaller restaurant, and all of the items are very good. Where they lack the most is their desert selection, minus their seamen balls which are amazing. If you are looking for good food, at a decent price and aren't too concerned about having a huge dessert selection, I think you would enjoy this place.
Went here tonite with the family, was seriously disappointed! Food was burnt to the bottom of the pans and yet ice cold... There was hardly anything! We spoke with kitchen staff and server about getting more food the new food came out and was mixed in with all the old burnt food right in front of us! My brother on law didnt even eat and we were charged for him atrocious food save your money!
Absolutely the worst service I’ve experienced in my life. And was just a pick up order that never happened after 40 mins. So disorganized.
I have cooked for over 50yrs and know what state food is in. Went to Emerald for a early afternoon takeout order. What I got was $60.00 worth of day old food that was soggy and stale. This stuff was obviously cooked the day before, left out in the buffet, stored over night and served out to me the next day. I know there is a pandemic and things are tough, but this establishment really needs to reconsider their priorities. In any case, I'm not going back. P.S. I threw the whole order (health hazard) out.
So I just got the best food from the Emerald Buffet.. they wer so nice on the phone... the girl at the door was so nice even tho my Dog jumped on her... the general tao chicken was amazing... 100 Stars for you guys... best Chinese Food in town
There was quite a selection in the dinner buffet, but most trays had very small amounts in them. Some food was old, like the lemon chicken was very soggy on the outside & hard on the inside. The food was not hot, not even warm. I lifted a pan and it looked like the burner was not on to keep the water steaming. When food is cooked and placed in a buffet, it has to be kept at a certain temperature and I’m sure this is no where near that temperature. Seems like others in the past found the food cold as well, not sure why Food Safety hasn’t caught this. I will not be returning because of the cold food. For $24 a person, it should be better. The good thing was that the place was clean.
Just ordered Chinese food from here told one price but when it gets delivered it's another and the driver didn't have change once again on him this isn't the first time we got screwed from here but it's the last time three times now the drive didn't have change not happy one bit
The food was tasty but coldI am sure that if it was hot it would be delicious. There was quite a selection of foods to choose from and a nice selection of desserts.
