I wanted to order food for 30 people to be delivered at 6:00pm on a Saturday night. I was told that they close at 5 and that was the latest they could deliver. What catering place does not work Saturday night?
On way home from Niagara on the Lake last weekend we stopped off to get frozen meatballs and frozen sausages for meatball subs. They were the regular, 3-meat balls in a frozen sauce. Thawed them out, toasted our buns, added cheese and bit in. We are looked at each other at the same time and were disgusted. They were soft and had the consistency of sawdust. I swear they were grounded with breadcrumbs, spices and who knows what else, perhaps 5% was meat? Our dinner was ruined. Great meatballs for people who have false teeth or no teeth. How disappointing. We are going to try the sausages today. Fingers crossed.
At 12 noon today, June 29th, 2022, I purchased an Assorted Italian Foccia sandwich and 2 garden salads from the stores cold display case.The sandwich was fine, however, the salads which were served for supper at 6:30 pm the same day were horrible. The salads had obviously been left over from Monday, June 27th as the cucumbers were so soft and not edible.The romaine lettuce in the salad had brown colouring on every single piece.We shop at Antipastos at least once a week. You can ask your Cashier, Dana, as I speak to her every time I am in the store. She will verify that I am a regular shopper at Antipastos. If you are going to sell salads that are a day or 2 old, you should not be selling them at the regular price. You should let your clients know that the salads are discounted as they are one or 2 days old. It has happened before with the salads, but this is the absolutely worst ever. I would prefer to pay the full price and have fresh quality for the money. Just a hint for future shoppers: Check the bottom of the salad container & if you see brown on the Romaine lettuce don’t buy it.The only alternative is to ask for a freshly made salad to go…even then the deli servers say there are some pre made in the deli case & they give you a dirty look. I just tell them I want a freshly made salad with no onions and they will make one up on special order.We have been supporters at Antipastos for over 20 years, even under the previous ownership, however, some the quality of some things are just not the same.Sincerely,Peter Gauvreau

Went in around noon and bought 5 different small desserts for my moms 50th birthday. She bit into the first one and said it tasted like mold. It was the chocolate bomb. She peeled off the outer chocolate and there was a bunch of mold. i know there is no way that the mold grew between noon when we bought it and 9pm when we had dessert. Right away ruined our whole dessert and we didn’t touch any of the others. For an almost $5 small piece of cake you would expect it to not have mold. Who knows how long ago that was made. Honestly disgusting.
Love it! They have the best food, love getting some things for quick meals during the week. Always delicious
We just moved to the area, and were hoping to find an Italian/Mediterranean grocery to frequent, and boy were we lucky. This place is amazing, great selection of frozen and ready to go meals. We had the meat lasagna, and were very pleased. We’ve also tried their house pasta sauce, and it was excellent. This will definitely become one of our go-to stores. We will return.
I used Antipastos for capturing when my husband passed away many years ago. I have since remarried and my husband and I love the store. Awesome foods.?

Ordered the Valentine's Day special. It was awesome. Piping hot, fresh, tender, succulent and enough for three meals for the two of us. Antipastos has never disappointed me in the nine years I have used them. Highly recommend!
