Yummy Japanese udon restaurant in Scarborough. A bit more upscale vibes, with both floor and bar seating. Exceptional service. The waiters and waitresses anticipate for all customer needs so quickly. The food itself was also good, with freshly made noodles. The noodles could use a bit more chew but still good.
Authentic Japanese udon restaurant. I went there for lunch and it's quite busy. Braise pork will just melted in your mouth. The broth has so much flavour. Price is high indeed but the portion is huge. I was really disappointed with the duck (really chewy and not fresh) so the server changed it it tonkatsu (its okay). Will come back!
Beef is very good.Eel is very fatty, melts in the mouth, just need a bit more sauce or grill to bring out more flavour. My friend's pork belly was mostly fat when mine was mostly meat. So hit or miss. Both of our chicken was overcooked.Udon was good but ramen which seems like just a thin version of udon was better... they undercooked the ramen but it turned out with better texture at the end.The broth was way too salty for both, seriously wanted to add water to it.I have had better housemade yuzu udon in Calgary and broth there was very good, refreshing with grated yuzu.Sesame ice cream was surprisingly better than hojicha ice cream.
I’m a Ramen fans but not Udon, but this udon restaurant really give me a good surprise. Udon is chewy and smooth, soup base is rich and toppings are tasty (above average). I saw many people ordered dessert, strawberry syrup on crushed ice, which looks pretty good for selfie. A real Japanese run restaurant, staffs are polite and attentive. 5 ⭐️?
I wanted to try this restaurant for a while. Their decor is very good. Bathrooms were clean. Service was good too. However, given what they are charging their food, I expected a bit more. We found a bone in the sashimi. The everything udon soup was a bit salty. The cold udon was good. The Sakura shrimp udon was unique but it didn't contain a lot of shrimps.Decor 5 starsService 5 starsFood 3 starsOverall 4 stars.
This is the most authentic Japanese Udon restaurant! It is uncommon using Japanese Flour freshly making Udon! The Udon style is Authentic Sanuki style! The Shrimp tempura, Pork Belly and Curry Beef are exceptional good. Very very Japanese! We like them all! Thank you bring authentic Japanese udon to Toronto!
The staff is very attentive and polite. Atmosphere is very much modern japanese theme. The food came out in a timely manner. Portion sizes are small given the price of dish but the quality and service is definitely there.
Udon and soup tasted good but nothing popped or surprisingly amazing. Atmosphere seems a little over rated, staff is very nice and overall the place is very clean and organized. Food just seems overpriced
Udon here is amazing, I always come here when the crave kicked in. The waiter and waitress here are very polite. We are always so stuffed when walking out from this restaurant. We will return in the future as we almost got enough points for our free meal haha!
This is probably the most expensive udon place you'll ever have.. but it is very worth it. We reserved a table on Yelp and they got it right away. So do reserve your table ahead of time as the restaurant fills up quickly once they open. The udon noodles are made fresh and in house so they were very soft and supple to taste and the soup was so light and amazing. The sashimi was the best we've had so far. The restaurant is Japanese and very authentic in every way. The staff were super polite and attentive to every detail. We did not have to ask for more napkins or more tea. They even picked up my dropped napkin and gave me more napkins! The little simple things like that gets to me and I really appreciate it. I am definitely coming back here again and again.
