Food and service were good and we're happy to dine out here.We had 10 people and ordered 2 x (April special) set menu ($500+) + 1 x 6 lb King Crab ($400+), total bill is $1,100+.Just a reminder you need to bring cash to dine out at Toronto, it's troublesome to transfer (US) money back to my Canadian buddy.
Not impressed at all. For 250 tax + tips for four adults and two kids, we had 4 tiny abalones with no taste and tough , small portions of seafood that was tasteless , instant noodle with “abalone” source poured on top, and two bowls of rice.If you like overpriced and tasteless seafood this is the place to go. Not sure why this place got such reviews. Will not visit again for sure.
Steam pot, an alternative way for a healthy meal. 1st time came here, definitely will go back again. Sea foods are freshy, skewers are tender and with the ending soup from all the steaming ingredients. This meal is beyond my expectations. However, if you have an extremely taste and hardcore. Maybe you won’t like it that much.‘Fish, Lobster & Crab combo 1.0’ is good only for two : ) with its portion(although it says for 4 ppl). So if you have 3+ people, choose 2.0+ combo will make more sense.Oh, ‘Dine in Only’ for the steam pot. Hot pot can order takeout. And my server tonight she is ??.
I had to give it some thought before leaving a negative review on a restaurant considering the current challenging times, but the experience I had was just above and beyond unacceptable. I came here earlier this winter on a very cold evening with friends. We were seated very quickly and I didn't notice until I sat down that it was unusually cold. After a while I realized that there was no heat in the restaurant at all. This is a pretty critical issue not to mention to your customers when they enter. We thought it would get better once we grilled our food etc, but it just got colder and colder and it got very unpleasant towards the end of the meal. We should have left early on, but we thought that maybe a door was left open that would be closed, which was not the case. It turns out their HVAC system was broken and we didn't know until it was too late. Instead of informing their customers, apologizing, or offering a discount, they actually charged an 18% obligatory tip to a group of 4 people. This mandatory tip policy is NOT displayed anywhere in writing, and not communicated when you call in, or enter, or mentioned by your server at any point. On top of all of this, the food was not good and definitely not worth the price. They also did not have any mussels, which did not help. Needless to say, my friends or I will never step foot in this restaurant again, and I have told everyone I know about this. BE WARNED!
Lobster and crab were okay. The fish wasn't cleaned enough tasted muddy. The steak was clearly cooked from cold cause the outside was well done and the inside was raw
Picked up two trays worth of prepped ingredients ready for our hot pot (instantpot) at home. It came with a container of hot pot broth. Delicious!
Lobster crabs very fresh
Don't call here if you don't speak Chinese. I was inquiring about the specials advertised on their website (which are outdated btw). Lady on the phone was yelling at me in Chinese because she couldn't understand. Too bad I could understand some of what she was rambling on about. Ended up canceling my reservation because of it.
Gave me free food after i gave a good review. would come back.
I'm honestly not too sure what my family ordered, but boy was it good. We ordered for takeout and it was ready upon arrival. It was some sort of pork stomach and chicken soup, and came with noodles and other ingredients. The soup was extremely hot and flavourful, which was perfect for a cold night :)
