This is my favourite shawarma place hand down. If you know anything close to this please let me know. The food is great, the staff is friendly I love it here and I’ll for sure come back
I visited viva shawarma for the first time Saturday evening and was pleasantly surprised. The two gentlemen provided immaculate service and tended to my every need. The wrap was prepared perfectly and I enjoyed it very much. 10/10 experience. I will certainly revisit in the future.
I paid this store a visit for the first time last Saturday evening and I must say, I have been missing out all these years. I live close by but I never had the chance to visit. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I tipped the two gentlemen $10 for their amazing service. I plan to come again soon!
Portion was okay. Not a fan of the chick peas, but the chicken and rice were good. Sauces were flavourful.
Great spot to grab falafel and shawarma. Super fresh ingredients. Love their garlic sauce! The staff are always friendly. Just a small place with a take-out counter.Heads up that parking can be a little tricky with only a few spots right on Vic Park, so I recommend parking on Pitt Ave and running over.

I've been a die-hard fan of this shawarma spot for this entire pandemic. Spending upwards of $100 a week.I stopped months ago after 3 consistent bad meals, greatly reduced portions and ridiculous wait times.I tried again tonight, and sadly still disappointed in the quality. For $70 (and over an hour wait!) I got wilted and brown lettuce, mushy tomatoes, fries that tasted like they were from yesterday and reheated and Shawarma meat that tasted like cat food (I've never eaten cat food, but I imagine it would taste like this). What's happened in the last few months Viva Shawarma? You've permanently lost a consistent, loyal and well spending customer. Do better, please.
I used to come here all the time as it was my favorite place for shawarma on the way home from work. Ordered a falafel plate and mixed plate last week and the portion had reduced drastically. I understand with the pandemic, everyone is trying to save on everything. The salad used to be everything but now you’re only allowed 3 items. Meat portion also reduced. I’ll still continue to eat here but hopefully things will turn up again for them.
I have never experienced such terrible customer service like I did at viva shawarma. I came and there were 2 people before me and the guy took my order. After me two more people came and he took their order. After that I asked how long it would take and he said 7 minutes. So I'm waiting 15min already and I see he is preparing wraps for all 5 customers at the same time and everyone is waiting. After about 20 min he gives the 1st customer his order. When it came to me already more than 30 min have passed and then he realized he forgot to make the fries so I had to wait another 7 min. I waited 40min for my order of 1 wrap, 1 plate, and 1 french fries. I complained and told him that even tho it's easier for him to make wraps for all 5 customers we are all waiting and asked him why he told me 7 min when it would be more like 40min. Also the shwarma was at the end and he didn't even fill the whole plate like they usually do. They took my phone number down and said that the manager would call but never did. Worst experience ever and I am not coming back here again.
Loved every bite of my meal here today. I ordered the falafel/French fry plate and it was pure deliciousness. Everything is made fresh, in house. My only regret is that I'm full now. I wish I was hungry all over again so I could eat a whole new meal from viva shawarma. Soooooo delicious! And super friendly staff.
