Lady working there is very rude and kind of cheap. The food is mediocre and you could probably get it at any other place for around the same price, the poutine is especially good but everything else is pretty average. Their service, however, is definitely not the best. A while back, the large poutine became a bit more expensive, which is fine, but the drink that came free with it was also removed, however, the lady didn't tell us and asked "What drink we wanted." Assuming that she said that all the time, we thought the drink was free as before, but she charged us extra for it without letting us know. Afterwards, we found out from a friend that it was no longer free, which she failed to let us know about. More recently, she got our order wrong as it was hard to hear under the masks, and we understand. But she just yelled at us and gave us attitude. If you want good food, it's a good place, but it's not good for service and honestly you really could get the same food, just as good, somewhere else.
honestly the only thing you should get here is the jerk chicken poutine, which i think is only good if you have it medium or spicy, but not sweet. the fries are not very good without the sauce which is evident when you finish the upper layer, really, the jerk chicken and sauce carry. either way the spicy jerk chicken poutine package is a classic, just dont get anything else on the menu, it tastes like plastic
Worst poutine I've ever had. The fries are flooded with gravy and it's sweet. Even their spicy poutine is sweet. The jerk chicken is totally unecessary and doesn't add anything to the poutine but a weird texture. Would give zero stars if I could. I don't know how students line up everyday at lunch to get this stuff. Shows what society has finally come to.
The 5 stars is only for their jerk chicken poutine,. The other stuff are not bad but the jerk chicken is way better.
I ordered a large jerk chicken poutine, a small rice and peas, and a jerk chicken wrap. The food was great and for a great price!Service was good and they weren’t stingy. Overall a great restaurant!
Raw fries this time.Their Jerk Chicken Poutine is pretty damned good but ONLY when they can get it right. Every time I’ve gone there, I’ve HAD TO ask them For it to be hot or if it’s hot and every time they reassure me that it’s hot, ITS NOT HOT! This time my fries were damned near raw. I’ve wanted to review this place before but I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. The gentleman who works there is amazing but that chick there has real attitude. This visit deserved the POOR REVIEW FOR THE POOR FOOD QUALITY and not to mention on other occasions the lack of customer care provided by the lady who works there. I will visit again but I will leave satisfied with my food or with my money next time...Update*** I went back to complain, and he replaced the meal but there was no care to present better food. The fries were not raw but while I asked for the fries to be well done, my request was completely dismissed... this place getting BOYCOTTED .. Cant wait for LAZEEZ to open up at Woodside Mall.
I went to buy some poutine and fries and was told I had to pay 5 cent a bag to put my take out food in and 10cents if I wanted extra cutlery….can you imagine that? When I questioned the cashier about it she compared this little take store to Food Basics….really? Most of your clients are students. I have NEVER went to a fast food joint where I had to pay for a bag. Let’s make a statement and boycott this fast food take the gas no regards for the children they serve….what a disgrace….there are plenty of other ways to increase your revenue…..start with better food and manners. I respect everyone taste buds but they are charging for bags makes everything taste sour. If I could give -1 star I would but unfortunately I have to give one just to make a post…..
By far one of my favourite spots in the GTA that is the most consistent and most flavourful across-the-board. This place always has returning customers because of the consistency of their food. They are notorious for a well-crafted delicious poutine which comes with perfect jerk chicken.I’ve been coming to this location for more than 10 years straight, and they’ve never done me wrong. I have nothing but good things to say about this location/store.If you’re looking for a delicious jerk chicken poutine For around seven dollars this is a spot for you!
