I love the dining experience I had here. We came in early Saturday morning for breakfast. A while later, there were also other diners coming in to do the same. The place was active and busy early on in the morning.I like how there was some care and attention given into decorating the place. There are some hanged cultural decors and displays found inside to give that sense of authenticity and cultural immersion.Me and my friends were able to sample a variety of meals. There was an order of plain rava dosa and mint masala dosa. The dosa came with 3 different dips or sauces. I have nothing bad to say about how they taste.I was with a couple of friends hailing from South India and it was such a treat that we ordered the Madras Filter Coffee ($2.99) from the menu, and they showed me how to properly mix and stir the coffee.Overall, it was a good, memorable meal. I will consider this place next time I want some authentic Indian dining experience.
Ridiculously delayed service. We were there for almost 2 hours for out breakfast ona Sunday morning and all our ordered were messed up. We didn't even get some that we ordered. I saw at least 10 people there for service and none of then we're managed proeoy. Terrible management I would say.I really wish I could give 4 stars because the food was awesome. One of the best pongals I had in recent times.
The food is amazing and delicious. I haven’t had better authentic South Indian food anywhere else. The menu is large and they have many mild and spicy options. My personal favourite is the Gunpowder dosa with masala. Although it does get very busy during dinner time. I had to wait 30 minutes for my dosa but it was definitely worth it. Staff were very friendly and nice. Everything is also fairly priced. I will definitely be coming back and I recommend this place 100%
Today I placed an online order for 25 idly set, went and picked up at Scarborough location.I brought that parcel home and noticed that there were only 20 idly in the box.I used to go there and therefore I called them. The gentleman who answered has an unfriendly attitude.I am not going to order anymore from there.I was disappointed because there were short of idly but got really angry after speaking to the person who answered the phone.Dear customers please check and even count the items what you are picking the orders.
I have been here a few times. Love this restaurant. They have a good veriety of dosa. The most authentic South Indian Food. I can easily give 10⭐️ . We ordered Onion Masala Dosa, Vada Samber and Pori. The taste was super delicious. Thank you very much chef to make our day special. ❤️❤️❤️ .. Will definitely visit next time.
The food is really good but the service is very poor. We had to wait a long time for the food but it is fine as the food is worth the wait. But the comedy of errors happens with the service team where either there is no one taking your order and all of a sudden there are multiple order takers coming to your table to take the same order.The food that comes to the table were mostly of some other table and while we were enjoying our meal we even got order takers giving us food that we did not order… as a result the bill was also a mess..but the food is very tasty and worth the wait, if only the service team could pull up their socks it would have been a much better place to enjoy a meal.
Their idly is the greatest. I like their curt rice. But vadai with curd I ordered 2 but they put sugar in curd. I ate so many places. This was dissatisfied.
I am not sure if it was one of those days for this restaurant, we visited on new year for dinner. It was very crowded, no social distancing, supposed to be run at 50% occupancy but it was at more than 100% occupancy, all tables were full and there was big line up inside the restaurant for pickup. Food was not fresh, every item was dry. When I tried to oder dosa, the server told me that he will not take dosa order as his cook not accepting any dosa orders. Isn’t this place special for dosas? No customer service and not a clean place. Little scary to visit this place during covid.
Very decent restaurant that serves authentic South Indian food. The ghee dosa is to die for: aromatic, crispy, tangy and creamy with generous potatoes stuffing. Their rice dishes are also very flavorful. No reservations so come early as customers fill up the place quickly. Good service and food is served quickly.
