Horrible Greek food! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star! The chicken was dry and tasteless! The rice smelled weird and it was very tough! The worst part was the burnt potatoes and the soggy salad! This place is way too expensive for the quality of food they serve! It is a rip off! Go to another Greek restaurant for better food and a cheaper price.
Great Greek food.....among my favourites the fish and souvlakiaIf you're fasting, still have tons of options....have the grilled calamari or octopus. Nice and fresh!The people are really nice too; have been coming back here for at least 5 yrs.
We came here with a medium? Sized group - 25 or so.Appetizers were nice. The grilled octopus ? was very good, not rubbery as often is the case. Garlic bread was the "garlic toast" style usually found at chain restaurants like Boston Pizza. Not my thing (garlic bread in general) but the rest of my table ate and enjoyed it.I ordered the 12 oz striploin - rare. The cut itself was not bad. A little overcooked, more like medium rare. Usually I would send it back, but I wanted to eat at the same time as everyone else and it was good overall. My expectations for steak at a non-steakhouse are low, so I ended up being impressed and enjoying it. The vegetables were a little garlicy (once again, I don't like garlic) but not bad. The potatoes were good with a nice amount of lemon flavour.My girlfriend had the stuffed chicken breast. She enjoyed it. I gave it a try and thought it was quite good with a slight taste of wine that she didn't detect. The rice was moist and tasty. Vegetables were good as well.Other members of our table also had the breast, as well as the fish and chip style Cod. I'd read a few reviews describing it as heat and eat frozen fish - this was not the case. It was quite good and appeared to be made up of freshly battered randomly sized chunks. Their sides were all enjoyed.Overall the experience was a good one. The courses came out at the perfect rate, and dessert/coffee were saved immediately after dinner.The restaurant itself is classically decorated, clean and tidy. We arrived a little before 5 and ate with the sun lighting our seating nicely.Waitstaff are polite and professional. They kept our waters full (I personally drank 5-6 glasses) and took dishes away almost as soon as we had them ready (but we're never pushy).I would certainly eat here again!
It was a great experience, I have always loved greek food. We ordered appetizers bruschetta, and fries for starter, it was a big serving to share with the four of us. On top of that we were served with garlic bread, Pickle and olives. Our server was very nice that he had to give us more bread because we finished ours already. Every dish we ordered were good except for the the that I have, it was Gyro lamb and beef with potatoes and vegetables. The meat was dry. I didn't enjoy that much. Otherwise it was good ?
Very nice restaurant, I've been coming here for years with family & friends. Nice large heated patio that is open during Stage 2 Covid restrictions. Friendly staff. Always good food. Highly recommend. Picture I posted is of just one half of the patio.
Amazing food, great price and awesome service! Patio is open so you are able to dine there and it is heated. It was a great night out for my father-in-law's 65th birthday!
The Arkadia House is a hidden gem. It was our first time going and we were impressed with the portion sizes, ambiance and the level of service. Our waiter OJ was fantastic and made the experience even better. Sadly once again COVID restrictions have made it hard for restaurants but I was so happy to see that they have an outdoor, heated patio. They have ventilation running through it in order to circulate air, while allowing guests to remain warm. I will be going back for sure, and would highly recommend.
Loved the food. Loved our server, OJ. Food was delicious, sizes were very generous, and service was super fast. They have a very quaint heated patio ready to handle another friggin lockdown. Will definitely be back!!
:( Disapponted from my order as a new customer new in this neighbour, fried calamaris & new york steaks dinner plates. Demode recipes old fashioned, we picked up our order and eat it very fast cause we live close this area. the steak was cooked as asked (medium) but no taste no flavour no juicy .looks like frozen steak..the veggies did not make any difference..the salad with the dinner plate was nice. Unfortunately they forgot to add the french fries in the calamari dinners, 3 calamari with no french fries only veggies. The calamari was ok. The funny was that we ordered 6 pita in pieces and they had a second packet with pitas. I am not sure exactly why they gave us the second pitas. Maybe was from another order because they did not gave us our french fries. Maybe they gave to someone else our french fries by mistake and they gave us his pitas? or just confusing...who knows? Also the spaghetti with the white cream was very sloppy. I understand the style of the meals because this was 20 years ago. THey need to update recipes and styles now. Too bad because the place is nice corner. The prices were overpriced for the quality. The lady in front was very kind and helpful. I don t recommend it for the quality and it s sad to leave this review.
This is a great restaurant. I had dinner there with friends and the staff made us feel very welcome. The dishes are tasty and well refined. The desert was given to us free of charge. When we left we received yet another to take away. The restaurant can host birthday parties or any other event. Parking is free. It is in my opinion a restaurant to be visited by all.
