Very small portions at a time. Just need to keep ordering. I understand you don't want it to be wasted but 2 pieces will not be wasted when there are 2 people. However, the food was really good. I enjoyed it! Staff are NOT welcoming at all. In our 2 hours duration only time more than 2 sentences was spoken was when we were asked for drinks. I will go again since the food was good. Don't care for the rest.
This place used to be good. I don't know if it is new management or what. The service was never the best but some servers are quite nice. I noticed after the pandemic, they would bring out less food than what you've ordered. Also I think they're putting something in the food to make you full faster. Probably to help cope with inflation but I think its in the rice. Good luck
I am biased because I love their all you can eat sushi buffet. The staff are usually polite. Sometimes service is slow, overall the quality of the sushi is great. I recommend going ala cart as the portions are bigger and you have a selection of a few off buffet items. Usually ends up being cheaper anyways. I would give them a 5 or. 4.5 but I just think there are sushi joints that deserve a little more. You won't be dissatisfied with Tatami Sushi. Next time I'll take photos. Nice ambience in the restaurant.
The food was good but the service was not that great it was our first time there they never explained anything to us you have to use an iPad to place your order the servers didn’t seem very friendly we had to call them multiple times because our one order of sushi was missing I eat half of my food before my sister Sushi even came out but the food was good just I think the service needed to be improved a little bit they didn’t seem approachable or friendly like they even wanted to be there.
This once was one of my favorite ayce in the city, but now it's just average. This place has the absolutely worst service ever. Every server is rude, never answers your questions directly, drops the food with attitude. Hung up when I called to make a reservation. Then at the end the server demanded we tip her. A tip is for good service not making your customers uncomfortable and unwanted. Save yourself go elsewhere.
When my kids told me not to order from this restaurant because of the bad reviews, I told them that I ate in this restaurant before and the food was good. What a big disappointment!!! First, when I went there to pick up my order, I had 3 big full bags of food and no one help to open the door, I was struggling and I did not want to put the bags on the floor in order for me to push the door open. second, The food was no taste, calamari was not seasoned, I dipped it with the sauce that was included but the sauce was so salty. Fried teriyaki noodles was bland and the beef was hard, the color of the food is so pale like no soy sauce or something. I was thinking they probably changed management/owners or they changed their chef/cook. Overall, I'm not recommending this restaurant.
Place has gone a bit downhill since pandemic. Some items gone from the menu. Waiters are hesitant to bring you sashimi as opposed to other cheaper cooked items (Eg I order 6 pieces of salmon, they brought me 2. I order 8, they brought me 3). Provided with single use utensils and plates, and a handful of soy sauce packets. Pretty ghetto for a $35 per person dinner.
The food that was supposed to come hot was cold and was obviously sitting for a while. The shrimp tempura was cold and stale. Everything else I had couldnt save the dinner, just not fresh or tasty. They would spray rubbing alchohol all over the restaurant in the air, it was horrible to smell while I was eating. The cherry on top was they charged 15% gratuity on my bill with just the 2 of us eating. Its as if they know they have terrible service. Overall this place is not worth going to.
The food is fresh and fast! It just keeps coming and coming. Plus the quality of food is superb! We eat here twice a month and they have never disappointed us. The best experience though is not from the food, but the service provided by their staff. So the overall experience is above and beyond compared to other Japanese restaurants. :)
